Financing promised to hold my check for several days awaiting deposit of bonus as I wrote a check for the entire price of the vehicle. Even gave me a receipt that said do not deposit until xx date. However, the check was deposited early and drained my checking account - which was a, not so nice surprise. Then I got a call on my trade in and they told me my wife had to come in and sign the title etc on the trade in. I asked about this when I did the deal and was told that was not necessary. When she went in the person she was supposed to meet was not there and they could not find the paperwork for her to sign. That's it. More
Repeat customer When I bought my Honda Fit several years ago, it was my intention to drive it for a very long time. It was my first time to buy a car by myself and I When I bought my Honda Fit several years ago, it was my intention to drive it for a very long time. It was my first time to buy a car by myself and I was nervous but I had a really good feeling about not just the car but the Manly Honda Team who stood behind the car. They made me feel comfortable making the choices that I needed to make by giving me the information that I needed and explaining all of my options. I did drive the Fit for several years and it was on a maintenance visit that I was given the information that I needed regarding a recall that I had heard about. Once again, the team was there and they gave me all of the information regarding my options. They were able to give me a great deal for a trade in on my Fit and I drove home very happy with my HR V. The HR V and I did not have the long-term relationship that I was hoping for. After only 9 months, I was involved in a wreck while driving my HR V. I was so impressed with how it protected me. The seat belt held me very securely in the seat. The airbags went off and it was quite frightening but aside from some bruising, I was fine and the emergency system was there to let me know that a crash had been detected and emergency services had been contacted -- help was on the way. My first call the following day was to the insurance agency, then to the loaning agency and then to the team at Manly Honda. I looked about at some other dealerships and they were very nice and I was able to look at some good quality cars. I then went to the team at Manly Honda and explained what my budget was and what I liked about the various cars that I had looked at and what I didn't like. They were very patient and again gave me the comparative information that I needed to make an informed decision. I am so happy with the CR V that I selected and so happy to know that I have can count on the professionals at Manly to help when I need them. The entire staff is so wonderful. I know that this is a business and I want to support the business but I so appreciate that at no time have I ever been left to feel that my interests have been neglected or overlooked. Saturday morning appointment I had a 9:45 appointment..at 10:15 I finally re-approached the check in lady to ask if I were ever going to be checked in. A gentleman at that point I had a 9:45 appointment..at 10:15 I finally re-approached the check in lady to ask if I were ever going to be checked in. A gentleman at that point said he could help me...when I asked him if it always took 1/2 hour to check in his reply was an unapologetic "on Saturday mornings, yes, we're half staff". If this is a known problem it should be addressed. My husband and 3 kids were waiting in the car the entire time (since this Honda doesn't supply loaners) there was no communication from the representatives. When the rep went to check the ODO reading on my car he couldn't find it. He had to find someone who could help him (it was being washed). I told him I needed it by noon (his reply - "no problem") but noon came and went and no phone call. I called at 12:15 and was told it "was almost done". So between the hour it took to check in, the unfulfilled promise of when it would be done, and the complete lack of concern among the reps my review is very low. More
Beware the optional contracts for this, that, and the other Having previous purchased 5 Honda from Manly over a period of 41 years, plus introducing my sister to Honda in 2009, and she has purchased 3 CRVs from Having previous purchased 5 Honda from Manly over a period of 41 years, plus introducing my sister to Honda in 2009, and she has purchased 3 CRVs from Manly since then, I would have thought that a little more consideration on the price when purchasing a new 2016 CR-V in March of 2017. My previous CR-V was a 2008 purchased in January of 2009. The MSRP was discounted by $3,000 on that purchase. This year the discount was significantly less on a well-equipped model. We are senior citizens and my husband mentioned in our sales process that this would likely by our last car purchase. Unfortunately the finance manager, Dave Sambad, seemed to quickly pick up on that fact and proceeded to warn us that all the exterior paint was now water based latex. No guaranteed that it would not fade, peel, or otherwise degrade much more that the paint on my 2008 CR-V which still looks brand new. However, they have an special policy to protect you and your car paint against such things. Then we heard all about the 130-140 computers in the car, which could possibly crash and cause very expensive repairs. No worry, they have another special policy for that. Be very careful what coverage you want as it becomes very expensive, very careful. Also, regarding the time to complete the transaction: the holdup was with the sales manager. As we were waiting to meet with him, we finally left the dealership and told Jesse (our salesman) that we would come back after lunch. After lunch we were still waiting to meet with the finance manager (who had no one in his office). We finally told Jesse we would be leaving the dealership if we didn't get in to see Sr. Sales Manager Dave Sambad within 15 minutes. We made it to his office within the 15 minutes, only to be in there over an hour. Salesman Jesse was excellent as we considered a number of new 2016s in the morning. But it's somewhat of a brutal day when it takes 5 hours to complete the transaction. More
