Dave A. in the service dept recommended I speak with Sean L. in the sales dept. about purchasing a car. Sean came in on his day off to test drive with me and when I picked up my Honda that I purchased from them. Sean is not your typical salesperson, pushy which I greatly appreciate. He recommended I purchase a vehicle from them as we were in the market for an Accord. I took his advice and found a car on their website that we liked. We especially liked it because it was CERTIFIED which was one of our requirements. I was also told over the phone that this vehicle was certified. We decided to make the drive all the way to Santa Rosa from Concord. An hour and a half with 3 children and my wife. I test drove the vehicle and loved it. We decided to proceed with the purchase. Half way through the negotiation I asked to make sure it was certified. The salesman looked at me and says "we don't certify vehicles. " Long story short we were talked into buying $3500 worth of warranties on the vehicle. The kind you buy when a car is not certified. We had no choice! We were stuck and they knew it. I checked the website the next day and their "CERTIFIED" section magically disappeared!! I have never felt so taken advantage of in my life when buying a vehicle. I was offered zero compensation just a "oops we better fix that. " More
