This is my fourth or fifth time coming back. I had to replace a tail light cover because mine got busted. Took them less than a week to order the part, and about an hour and a half to fix. Took my car for service do to an almost unnoticeable engine noise. Car was running just fine, did not have any engine lights on. We just wanted to know what was the cause of the problem and if there wa engine noise. Car was running just fine, did not have any engine lights on. We just wanted to know what was the cause of the problem and if there was any reason for concern. At first Bill stated he could not hear anything wrong with the car but recommended one of his mechanics to check it any ways. His mechanic looked into and stated he did hear a very mild noise coming from the engine but could not tell what would be the source of the sound and recommended to replace the engine gas valve to see if that would take care of the problem. The mechanic replaced the valve, but the noise was still there. The final mechanic diagnosis was: Honda does not know why your engine is making that noise or what may be wrong with the engine, we recommend you replace the engine. We have one used engine for 4000 dollars plus installation. We drove our Honda out of this dealership after paying an 800 dollar cost with a diagnostic of replace your engine because we do not know what’s wrong with it. On top of that they made me feel as if I was crazy for asking why replace the engine when the mechanic does not know why the engine need to be replaced in the first place. Bill did use the word crazy by the way. We took our Honda to a local mechanic who immediately noticed the sound, told us most likely one of the engine valves was slightly loose and not aligned properly. He recommended adjustment of the valves to prevent damage to the engine, stated we could ignore the sound and drive the car for a few thousand miles but could cause damage to the engine. This mechanic charged 900 dollars in labor and fixed the problem in a few hours. Noise it’s gone. Manly Honda has no mechanics but a bunch of part replacement techs. All they know how to do is replace parts to see if it takes care of a problem, and when they can’t figure it out the solution is replace the engine. Very good at taking people’s money and the least idea of what they are doing as mechanics. I am very disappointed with their service. More
I really like this service center. I've come to this service center numerous times for a variety of services. Bill Robertson, a service advisor is whom I have dealt with most of the time, and he is awe service center numerous times for a variety of services. Bill Robertson, a service advisor is whom I have dealt with most of the time, and he is awesome. About a week ago, I had a new battery installed and I had a light indicator issue resolved. The time frame for completion was fine. What I especially appreciated was the great customer service from another service advisor, Shawn Matteoli that I dealt with that day. He spent time and explained things very well, and he was both professional and personal. More
