Fantastic Customer Service! Just want to give a shout out to Eddie Gutfield at Marin Acura! He went above and beyond customer service and really put us at ease and made sure our SUV was perfect. We bought a 2015 Acura MDX CPO and when we saw it online we made inquiries and made an offer. Eddie made a counter offer and we settled on a price. We came down to the dealership a couple of days later. The MDX wasn't perfect and had some body issues that needed to be taken care of. Without skipping a beat, Eddie and his manager said it would be taken care to our satisfaction. Normally car dealers and sales people say this, but don't follow through. Not Eddie, not this dealership. Everything we had concerns about was taken care of to our satisfaction. We were blown away how beautiful the car looked the day we picked it up (a week later). I can't tell you how satisfied we are with this MDX. Thank you so much Eddie for everything and for making this MDX perfect! More
Excellent parts service On my first visit regarding my need to program 2 aftermarket key fobs and 4 aftermarket keys, I rolled into the dealership around 6 last week to find On my first visit regarding my need to program 2 aftermarket key fobs and 4 aftermarket keys, I rolled into the dealership around 6 last week to find that the parts department keeps bankers' hours and closed at 5. I groused a little to Dave, who was sitting near the door. He asked what I needed. Turns out he was the right guy to talk with. A recovering mechanic, he promptly took my fobs out to the car and fiddled around, turning the key about 26 times while he clicked the fob buttons a bunch of times. A few minutes later, I had clickers that worked. Unfortunately, Parts had to do the key programming thing. Today, I roared into the store at about 10 before 5, shortly before closing, needing 4 aftermarket keys programmed to match my one working key. Bill said he'd give it a try. He went in the back where they keep the witches' brew and chanted over the keys to program them. He gave me back the one key that a hardware store had cut to go check it. It didn't work. The key would unlock the door, but wouldn't lock it or turn the ignition. I went back in. Bill said the keys should work once the other 3 were cut. Thinking I would be charged a couple thousand for him to cut the keys, I asked anyway. Bill said he wouldn't charge me to cut the keys, but that he needed my VIN. Back out to the car for the reg, then back in (I walked 4 miles back and forth to the car). He cut one with the special dealer-only key cutting machine that gave me a "new" key rather than the copy that hardware stores make. Back out--it worked! He cut the last two. They worked! He buffed off the burrs and now, unless I get really stupid, I'm not getting locked out. I didn't check the time, but Bill definitely stayed overtime to help me out. And I got in some cardio. I've got one extra key/fob set in my bag and I need to find somewhere on the car to strap down my magnetic box for another. And I'll keep one at home. So thanks to both Dave and Bill for fixing me up for exactly the right price. More
