We traveled from Oregon to buy our new car and he had everything ready, and everything was just as we had discussed, no hidden fees, no haggling, just a very easy car buying experience. He knew we were anxious to get back on the road as we had a long travel day, and he did everything he could to get us going quickly. Mangit was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Great Experience Buying TLX from Edmond Kim at Marin Acura I bought an Acura TLX from Marin Acura a few weeks ago. I test drove all of the usual suspects — BMW 325i, Lexus IS250, Audi A3, even Cadillac ATS — I bought an Acura TLX from Marin Acura a few weeks ago. I test drove all of the usual suspects — BMW 325i, Lexus IS250, Audi A3, even Cadillac ATS — before deciding to buy an Acura TLX. I made the decision based on the combination of driving experience, safety features, reliability, overall value and interior comfort, quiet and luxury. The Acura scored well on all counts. Has been a few weeks and I’m very happy with the purchase. Now let me talk about the buying experience. During the process of test driving candidates, I dealt with lots of salespeople. Didn’t have any absolutely awful experiences, but didn’t have any salespersons I really wanted to give my business. Had been to all of the Acura dealers in the area except Marin Acura. Had negotiated a good price from one of the Acura dealers I’d visited and was ready to buy from him, but was hesitant. I feel like giving a company or salesperson your business is validating their service and I just didn’t feel like anyone had provided the experience that warranted my business. So, I called Marin Acura. I spoke with Edmond Kim. He is not the typical salesperson. He's low-key -- comes across as a nice guy who happens to be selling cars, not a "salesperson." Over the phone we worked out a price and pick-up details. Was super easy. Being a skeptical person I asked him to email me the details so that I’d have everything in writing. Was still wondering whether Edmond would be different once we arrived at the dealer. You know the games that can be played at dealers as the salesperson passes you to the sales manager and so on. Well, I’m happy to report that Edmond in person was the same Edmond as on the phone — knowledgeable, helpful and sincere. Buying the car from Edmond was a great experience; feels like you're buying from a friend who knows a lot about cars. When we arrived to buy and pick up the car, we were happy to find that the car was prepped perfectly. Actually looked even better than any I’d seen in any showroom. If you haven’t seen the TLX in person, it’s a beautiful car. They had it shined, dusted and looking gorgeous. Edmond spent time answering all of our questions and going through how to use the navigation system, etc. He really knows the car and equipment in detail. He’s also very patient in explaining the tricks to getting the most enjoyment out of the car and using the equipment properly. He even told us to feel free to call him or text him on his cell if we ever had any questions. We were impressed! A car is a big purchase, so you will want to do your homework on the car and price. Nothing beats being informed. But don’t discount the value of dealing with the right salesperson. He or she can make the experience satisfying or disappointing. Edmond Kim really made our experience enjoyable. If you're in the market for an Acura, I highly recommend you call or visit Edmond Kim at Marin Acura. Am glad we bought from him. More
