First of I'll say that I'm a cynic. I came to dealer rarer before I went to Mazda of Lodi and I purposefully ignored all the ratings that had all or mostly fives because I was convinced that the dealers rarer before I went to Mazda of Lodi and I purposefully ignored all the ratings that had all or mostly fives because I was convinced that the dealers came on the site themselves and wrote their own good reviews. I skipped straight to the bad reviews for all the dealerships and I came to Mazda of Lodi (from NY) because it had the least and most petty bad reviews. Also when other dealerships responded to bad reviews they were very condescending which was a red flag right there. Mazda of Lodi didn't do this. So I went to the dealership looking for a used but well maintained Mazda three. I'm 25 and I look young so I'm use to ppl not taking me seriously, but Ricardo was standing outside and he immediately introduced himself and offered to help me. I gave him a 4 for friendliness which is perfect for me because I hate when salesmen act overly friendly and happy because then I think that they are being fake and most likely just lying. He was the perfect mix of approachable, helpful, and knowledgeable. We looked at all the Mazda 3s which were oddly priced the same and we went over the pro/cons of mileage vs. trim vs. year. I also liked that when I asked to see lower priced non-Mazda cars just in case there was a great bargain sitting on the lot, he still was enthusiastic about showing me the lower priced cars and he didn't try to analyze my life and convince me to buy a certain car. I've been to several dealers and they all start asking me if I'm married, have kids, etc and then they attempt to push a brand new car on me with every option added. Now the numbers. No surprises. When I sat in his office he right away told me about all the dealer fees, estimated taxes and registration for me etc. the dealer fees were not outrageous , but who likes spending money period? The price of the car was comparably low for its mileage, trim, and condition. I got a 2010 18k mile, Mazda 3 s sport, very clean , for maybe only 300 dollars more than what other dealers were asking for a 35k Mazda 3 i sport, average condition. Even when I wasn't happy about one particular detail they first plead there case but then compromised with me. He was never once rude or pushy which I value a lot more than a few bucks. In fact, my friend that I brought to help me choose was more pushy and opinionated than he was :). I would go back. More

We arrived at the dealership just looking around to see if I could get a Mazda that fit my budget. We were approached by Lance who was very friendly to work with throughout our entire visit to Mazda Lodi. if I could get a Mazda that fit my budget. We were approached by Lance who was very friendly to work with throughout our entire visit to Mazda Lodi. Although I really didn't have the intentions of walking out with a car that day, I knew if the price was right, I would take the offer. After a test drive, I knew I loved the car (Mazda 3), it was a perfect fit for me, and I was more than happy to know I was going to leave the dealiership with a brand new car under a lease (when I initially went there to check out the used inventory). Lance was really friendly and NOT pushy at all. He answered all of our questions and showed us a number of cars from the lot. We really were going to leave to think about the numbers for a couple of days. Lance took us for a test drive once I learned and in the end, his demeamor is really what kept us at the dealership long enough to seal the deal. His manager worked with us to get me the numbers I wanted on an even better car. I have absolutely no regrets on signing the lease the day I did. It's the perfect car, rides well, and I'm loving it all around. My only minor complaint is that I was told I'd be able to bring my car in at a certain time and leave with a loaner to get a remote starter installed, but upon arriving at the dealership at the agreed upon time, I was told I had to be there by 6 pm. It wasn't the biggest deal in the world, but I wish that information was relayed to me when I made the appointment. Again, no biggie! Overall, my experience at Mazda Lodi exceeded my expectations. If there was a rating less that 1 I would give them this rating. The reason for this is not only they are rude and down right unprofessional, but they cheat and lie to their customers. I purchased a car fro rating. The reason for this is not only they are rude and down right unprofessional, but they cheat and lie to their customers. I purchased a car from them two months ago and the sales man lied to me about manufacturer warranty, telling it was valid for another year, while it had already expired. Their own stickers said that the car was under warranty, factory and dealer, yet it turned out that it wasn't. The sales man lied to me when selling the car and falsely advertized, charging me a higher price. When I had a repair that needed to be done they not only refused to cover it, but flatly said that they cant do anything about it even if their own sales man lied and there is nothing I can do about. Advice for others in similar situation, call Mazda North America operations and complain to them about the dealership and its service. More
I'm going to try to give them another chance to help me with the car they sold me. Let's see how it goes. I have faith that they will provide great service to repair relations with their customers. I have purchased/leased two CX7’s, a CX9, and this week another CX9 for family and friends at Mazda of Lodi. There is a reason why they deserve repeat business- simply put Mazda of Lodi sets the standard another CX9 for family and friends at Mazda of Lodi. There is a reason why they deserve repeat business- simply put Mazda of Lodi sets the standard for what a car dealership should be. Jeff Falk and Glenn Ellis completed the deal. Glenn Ellis' Mission Statement I suspect reads - Always treat the customer fairly, with respect, and sensitivity to their needs and financial circumstances. Mazda of Lodi is a small dealership and can compete easily with the large highway stores. There is no pressure to purchase. They work very hard to earn your trust and keep your business. It has a kind of folksy – family feel to it. Glenn Ellis is the owner. How many dealerships have the owner/ boss sitting at a desk in the showroom? That’s where you’ll find Glenn. Glenn once was a teacher before getting into the car business. He understands the budgets we live on and will work out deals that don’t break them. I don’t like to haggle- But always go prepared to negotiate a price after researching car prices. Do the research on Edmunds.com, Truecar.com, and car Forums for what others are paying, and then give Mazda of Lodi a call. They consistently quote prices very near to what people are paying and what Truecar and the Forums are suggesting. In the past I have called Mazda dealers in Ramsey- Wayne & Rt 46. Their quotes have always been higher (ugh!). All their ads say – “We’ll beat any deal.” Save the trouble- do the research and call Mazda of Lodi. Thank-you Jeff and Glenn for the excellent service and recent deal with Nieves. More
