I have my dream car! I'd been looking off and on for the last 9 months or so for a small SUV/Crossover. I've never owned a Mazda before and honestly it really didn't cross my mind until about 3 months ago. Everything I had looked at prior by the other major makers just didn't have that special something I was looking for. I found the Mazda CX-5 in my Consumer Reports book and it had excellent ratings. I started my hunt and was really surprised how difficult it was to find one that was a couple of years old, with reasonably low miles for a fair price. I came across this black 2014 Mazda CX-5 in Auto Trader and then again on Car Gurus. Everything about it was perfect- color, options, insanely low miles and a great price. I live 3 hours north of Elk Grove and was very hesitant to make the drive just in case there was something about the condition of the car I didn't like. I submitted an online inquiry and Juan Ramirez is the sales specialist who responded. He answered my many, many, MANY questions Friday night; included additional pictures of the car sent from his phone and even more appreciated- he sent a video of some areas that I was concerned about minor scratches. He went far above and beyond what I expected and told me he would be up until late that night if I had any other questions I wanted to ask him- which of course I did. I told him I would sleep on it, woke up in the morning knowing this was the car I had been looking for and let him know I was on my way. When I got there he was friendly, very easy to be around and it was a one hundred precent NO PRESSURE situation. I have dealt with many sales people over the years, from lots of different industries and this is the first time I didn't feel like I was talking to a used car salesman. The car was much better than I could have hoped, looking nearly new and was in excellent shape. While he wrote up the sale, other customers were arriving to see the car, but I very sadly (not really) told the other sales associate it was sold. :) Had I been just a half hour later I might have lost out on the chance to own this car. My paperwork was done by Deannah who is hilarious and very efficient at her job, even though CA has a ridiculous amount of DMV forms. As I finished the paperwork with her, Juan was cleaning up the interior (even though it really didn't need it!) to make the car perfect for me. He helped me pair my phone, showed me the items on the car I was not familiar with and sent me on my way- along with a suggestion for a yummy Mexican place. The drive home was long, but the music was awesome and the speakers in the car far surpassed what I would have expected. The seats are so comfy and I love the blindspot indicator on the side mirrors. I woke up today still so happy with my car- and my experience at Mazda of Elk Grove- I know I made the right choice for me. If I ever decide to get rid of this car (although I don't know how I could ever tire of it), I will definitely be going back to Elk Grove and asking for Juan. My son came to check out the car I had selected and Ratish also answered patiently & politely. Ratish is also sensitive of my needs in what I wanted in a car. Ratish explained the functions and Manuals and booklets & also pointed out & explained all the features in the car before I drove off with the new car. He was always prompt to answer my questions and modifications and financing options. Although Fritz intended to meet personally with me and my daughter, I was running late for our appointment beyond his work hours so he arranged for Josilyn to meet us. She met us and promptly showed us the vehicle arranged. It was exactly what we were looking for and the price was exactly as quoted. There was no haggling! Josilyn promptly filled out the paper work. Because it was close to close time I asked if we needed to come back after the vehicle was washed and prepared. She stated she was going to go clean and prepare it herself while we took care of financing so we could take it home that night. I've never heard of a sales person washing a vehicle! She said that everyone works together as a team to do whatever is needed. I was most impressed. 3-Francisco took care of all the closing financing and paperwork. He was quick and efficient and never did a hard sell on "upgrades". He was cheerful and friendly. The nicest "wow" factor was that the owner John personally shook our hands and welcomed us and thanked us for coming in. It wasn't till later we found out he was the owner. I communicated through email with Fritz Roepke of Elk Grove Mazda and he sent me options about the car. He also guided me in my application for financing. He got approval and asked me to go to the dealership to test drive and choose the one that I want. We made a deal on the same day on a Sport Trim. It took us about 3 hours. I was going to take delivery the following week but changed my mind to get the Touring Trim instead. Fritz helped me again and I got delivery on the Touring Trim and I am so happy with my purchase. Fritz is an awesome salesperson who is so helpful in dealing with any sales problem we presented. Thanks Fritz. We will recommend you to our friends and to anyone reading this review. More
