This is, by far, the best experience I've had purchasing a vehicle. And, I've bought many cars in my lifetime. "Johnny C" was pleasant, patient and knowledgeable about what Rte 2 Hyundai had to offer an a vehicle. And, I've bought many cars in my lifetime. This was the easiest and friendlist car buying experience I have every had. They were great to work work and I felt no pressure to buy or commit to something I didn't want. This dealership reinforced every negative perception of car dealers I've ever heard. I went to them because of their location near my work. I wanted to buy local. Talked to the car salesman, who seemed n car dealers I've ever heard. I went to them because of their location near my work. I wanted to buy local. Talked to the car salesman, who seemed nice. I wasn't ready to buy then (April) but told him I'd be back when I was ready. Last week I was, and went back to him specifically. Never talked to another salesman or dealer. Made an offer, they made a counteroffer. Told me I had until the end of the day to think it over. I asked about a new model I hadn't driven earlier, and he called me with price information at 3PM. Restated the pricing on the other car. At 6PM I called and said I was coming in to write the deal. That's when everything started to change. The original price was no good any more. Additional fees got added on. They flatly refused to honor the price they had quoted me. The reason? 'The whims of the manager'. Really. That's what I was told. I walked out. These guys are obviously bottom feeders that could care less about selling a car if they can't screw the customer. UPDATE: I've now noticed that the dealer has posted several comments, including questioning my integrity and inferring that I must be from another dealer. This is NOT true, I was, and am, a legitimate customer. They also indicate that I left the dealership and came back a week later to try and buy the car. Also untrue. This all happened over the course of 3 hours on the same day, as I detail in my rating. Finally, the manager indicates I never contacted him. Also untrue. I tried on several occasions to contact him, but he was never 'available', I was not allowed to hold for him, and he could not be paged. More

When I wanted to purchase a new vehicle I went to Johnny Chiaravalle because he was so helpful to my husband the previous year. Johnny was great. I asked him some new questions he hadn't heard before and he got me the answers very promptly - within minutes! I told him my priorities and Johnny helped me to pick the vehicle that was just right for me. He was very patient, and he has a great sense of humor! He walked me through all the purchase options including leasing and aiding me in making the decision that was right for me. Just a lovely man. We will go to Johnny again for our next purchase. I've purchased many cars in my time, and I have to say overall this was hands down the best & easiest car buying experience I've ever had. There was no feeling of being overwhelmed by too many people, sales supervisors etc getting involved, it was strait forward and simple and no back & fourth nonesense. I think that Rte2 Hyundai could give lessons to other dealerships on how to handle customers, and sell cars without all the hassle and pressure, it was my first positive experience in car buying, and I would recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a new car!!
