I am an out-of-state buyer who was ready to purchase a 2019 Chevrolet Suburban they had in stock. I did exactly what a serious buyer is supposed to do to facilitate a smooth transaction: I made it clear that, even if we couldn’t agree on the trade-in numbers, I would still sign a deal. I provided detailed photos of my trade-in, shot and sent a complete walk-around video as instructed and explicitly stated my intent to purchase an extended warranty package through their finance department(I think that is profit for the dealership....), deposit ready to go to hold the vehicle once a sales agreement was sent. Between 9am - 6pm no sales agreement, no trade in value, no "link" for the deposit sent to me, and hours with no response. I provided a 10-day pay off for my trade in as well. I was asked for my VIN several times after I communicated it to them already. All I needed to make the 4.5-hour drive from Illinois to Des Moines was a basic Out-The-Door (OTD) numbers sheet confirming the tax and trade math. Financing already lined up, but again warranty package was going to be purchased. Instead of treating a ready-to-close deal with even the slightest urgency, the sales staff, along with the used vehicle sales manager, dragged their feet and took all day to respond to simple requests. Because of their internal bottlenecks and poor communication, they supposedly ended up selling the vehicle to someone else while I was sitting there waiting for them to do their jobs and send the paperwork. After all day dealing with this at 6:28pm I was told "the Suburban was sold while I was with clients"...... Really? that is it? nothing else to say? If you are an out-of-state buyer or someone not local, do not waste your time here. They will happily take all your vehicle data, videos, and intent to buy, leave you hanging all day (actually 1.5 days), and then sell the car out from under you because their desk can't process a basic deal in a timely manner. Keep in mind I had the deposit ready to go, waiting for the sales agreement. If this is how they treat a qualified buyer, I don’t want to see how they treat others; I'm sure they treat others with extreme disregard. Highly unprofessional. Salesman: Charles Tornell - No urgency to secure the deal that was basically done.
