Russ was first of all a great salesmen. He took time to explain everything about the car and also took time to listen to what we wanted in our new car. Our sales associate, Doug Prince, made our buying experience an effortless and pleasurable time at the dealership. PPM @ Grapevine and Doug Prince bent over backwards to make the experience an enjoyable time. Doug was not a hard sale type of guy, but listened to what we wanted and fulfilled in every aspect. Probably, the most gratifying trait about Doug is the way that he treated my wife during the time at the dealership and after the fact. He treated her as a customer not just a tag along. He presented himself to her, reach out to shake her hand and the big thing is he listened to her and her wishes as well. He is the first automobile salesman to extend a hand to her and didn't brush her aside like so many other men do. In the past week we purchased the Mercedes Extended Warranty and my wife stopped by the dealership to sign the paperwork and Doug escourted her to the finance department and took very good care to see that everything was complete in the purchase. My wife and I feel like we have a good friend at the dealership and I feel that she can call on Doug anytime to take care of any problem or question that she may have. One last note, The dealership at Grapevine is a brand new location and is fantastic. All of the people go out of their way when you bring your car in. I think anyone would be impressed. My overall experience at Park Place was very pleasant. The sales team answered all of our questions and the environment was not the typical high pressure sales nonsense that I've had at other auto dealers The sales team answered all of our questions and the environment was not the typical high pressure sales nonsense that I've had at other auto dealerships. The car we purchased (GLK350) was in our price range and was the best ride for the money. We had test driven 3 other cars of similar value and settled on this model for several reasons: ride, options, looks, price, and trade-in value. My only complaint would be the trade-in process. It is time intrusive and establishing a fair price for my 2 vehicles was a little frustrating. The clean trade-in value established by NADA should ALWAYS be the trade-in price. This would save everyone time. Marty did an excellent job of demonstrating the options in the GLK350 and he found us the car we wanted quickly. He was also quick to come down off the MSRP which I was suprised to see...especially on a Mercedes product. The price we paid for a new car was close to the pre-owned prices that I've seen. If you can get a new car for the price of a pre-owned, you've made a pretty good deal. I look forward to working with Marty Marshall in the future.
