It was as if I were just discussing the car with a friend.I had done as much research on the web as I was able and felt I got a fair price without all the seemingly fake back and forth that is common anywhere else. I have been in the market for a lightly used Mercedes E550 4MATIC for nearly 5 months. I live out of state and have been close to purchasing one from other dealerships and brokers across the country, but E550 4MATIC for nearly 5 months. I live out of state and have been close to purchasing one from other dealerships and brokers across the country, but for one reason or another didn't consummate the purchase. On a recent flight into SDF I had a weather related layover. When I checked online, I noticed that Tafel had a 2010 model with premium-2 package and all the options I desired and I cold-called them that morning to view & drive the vehicle. I took a cab to the dealership and from start to finish, it was white glove service. My time with Jeff Hovious in sales was smooth and pleasant. The car was in spectacular shape and exceeded my expectations. As luck would have it, this beautiful car boasted the difficult to find 2-tone color combination that I preferred. We settled on a price and Jeff Jackson arranged financing. My daughter who lives in Indiana met me at the dealership to pick me up to drive on to Lexington. Instead, we drove away in the E550 and Matt in service kindly to agreed to put 4 new tires on her car, do some minor service and repairs and he gave her aging Camry a thorough "once-over". For a dad who lives over 2k miles away from his daughter, it was comforting to have this taken care of in such a courteous and efficient manner. It was going "above and beyond the call of duty" and very much appreciated! In summary, if you are looking for a new or used car and it's in their inventory, you owe it to yourself to give the team at Tafel the opportunity to serve your needs. If you are a long-distance buyer, you can rest assured that you are in good hands and buy with confidence. My one regret is that Tafel is not closer to where I live so they can service my car in the future! More
I was pleased that the sales staff (Dan Smith) took so much time explaining, demonstrating the different Mercedes models as well as assisting me with the new technology, Command system interface and optio much time explaining, demonstrating the different Mercedes models as well as assisting me with the new technology, Command system interface and options. There was absolutely no sales pressure. The staff was focused on finding the right car and options for my specific requirements, Mr. Torsch did a superb job of negotiating & delivering the appropriate car from another Mercedes Dealership. Jesse Upchurch provided guidance with financial matters as well as extended warranty packages. I test drove many of the luxury car brands and found that Mercedes was by far the best vehicle for my particular needs. More
I located a Used 2011 BMW 328i on the internet that I was interested in. Due to my work constraints the next day, I ask a friend (co-worker) of mine to call and check on the car and broker the deal on my beh interested in. Due to my work constraints the next day, I ask a friend (co-worker) of mine to call and check on the car and broker the deal on my behalf. First contact was Mr. David McNulty on Friday 3/21/2014. Even though my friend was not the buyer, David answered all the questions that we had. I was able to talk to David myself a couple of times near the end of the day. David worked with me when I only had an hour (5:00pm) before the bank was closing and provided me what I needed prompty. I was able to secure the check from the bank before they closed at 6:00 Friday night. I emailed David after I left the bank and told him I was driving up Saturday (the next morning) to buy/pickup the car. He promptly returned my email telling me to have a safe trip up and he would see me the next day. While my friend and I was driving to Kentucky, from South Carolina, Mr. McNulty called to see where we were so he could have the car cleaned and ready for me when I arrived. Next comes the part that shows the fiendliness and great customer service we recieved. After parking our car we walked to the front door, where it was opened for us by Mr. McNulty who greated us by name and welcomed us to dealership. That in its-self was impressive as well as surprising. He then offered us a beverage and ask us how our trip was. Now this may be customary, but Mr. McNutly came across as genuine and sincere, as he knew we just drove a long distance (6hrs). The rest of the expereince continued just as good as we we treated like we were there buying the most expensive car the dealership had. Mr. McNulty was a joy to work with and stood out to me to be a pleasant, sincere, and caring person. He understood how the previous day I was busy and still dealt with a 3rd party, as if it was me. His demeanor and pride in his job totally goes against the stereotype that has been associtated with some dealerships. Mr. McNulty and Tafel Motors in my opininon, takes pride in customer service and sincerely wants to make the car buying process an enjoyable experince. He offered more than one vehicle and was listened to our needs and helped us select the appropriate vehicle. Kareem and Jarress followed up and answered all our questions, worked with us as it was convenient for our schedules and even answered texts and questions off hours and on Sunday. My wife and I appreciated the service and follow through up to and including our ultimate purchase. We are very happy with our vehicle and will gladly recommend these gentlemen, and your dealership, to friends and associates in search of automobiles. We made a call to the Tafel dealership and made an appointment with Charles Bleuel to show us some models of SUV's for sale. He was very courteous and very eager to have us test drive the vehicle we chose. During the test drive he was very informative about the various features of the SUV and offered to let us drive the vehicle home overnight. The fact the Charles trusted us to drive the vehicle overnight made a good impression on us and was pivotal in helping us decide to purchase the vehicle. Charles did not pressure us to make a quick sale which made us feel more comfortable with our decision. We did find common ground when negotiating the price we paid for the SUV. We feel confident we can recommend our friends to see Charles for their next vehicle purchase. Charles made the experience of purchasing another vehicle a pleasant one and we are very glad we chose the GLK 350 at Tafel Motor. More

Over the last 30 years I have purchased 7 or 8 cars from Tafel Motors. I have always found the staff to be professional, willing to work with me on price and above all friendly and accomodating. Just today I bought my 4th Mercedes from Eric Torsch and 2nd in 2 weeks!! He is a pleasure to deal with and a true professional. You always know when you buy a Mercedes from Tafel their continuing support follows you as long as you have the car. Just ask me about my 1988 560 SEL !! I may also mention the Service Team is 2 nd to done. No request is too small to gain attention and I never have to return for the same thing. Service has been one of the main reasons I have returned to Tafel over the years.
