Both the Sales Mgr (Marcus) and the salesman that I dealt with (Mike Amburg) gave me the time I needed in evaluating the car and its performance. There was no pressure from the staff. After I decided to purchase the car, they made sure that the ensuing process was as pain free as possible. Once I returned home with the car, I noticed some scratches on it. I called and they made an appointment with the service dept to have it repainted. They also gave me a loaner to drive in the meantime. I found them to be very fair priced and very knowledgeable about the auto. They also throw in a free oil change and free inspection (an additional one other than the inspection when I first purchased it). . More

Small Feel Expereince at a Big Dealership I hate car shopping, and I hate sales men. That being said, my experience at Merchants Auto was fantastic. My fiance and I recently bought another veh I hate car shopping, and I hate sales men. That being said, my experience at Merchants Auto was fantastic. My fiance and I recently bought another vehicle for him at a smaller dealership that was very down to earth and comfortable; Merchants gave us that same feeling with the huge selection they had. We walked in wanting to sit in a lot different vehicles, and Rudy walked us through every car we wanted, and then some without any hint of rushing. We told him up front what we were looking for, and he didn't try to push us past our limits like other places we had been. We worked directly with a couple of other people in many different departments, and while their names escape me at the moment, they were all friendly, helpful, and made the overall process painless. We drove off the lot some hours later hardly feeling like we hadn't spent nearly so much time there. There was never more than a couple of minutes at any one time that we weren't doing something engaging to move the process along. I have personal experience with purchasing vehicles at 4 different dealerships over the last 5 years or so, and this experience far exceeded my expectations. Other, larger dealerships that offer great rewards and kick backs feel like big dealerships and try to be personable, but often fail. Merchants did not! We will be back to use their Service Department, and next time we are in the market for another vehicle. More
Went in doubtful, came out with a car. When we first went to Merchant's over the weekend, we left with the feeling that we better keep shopping around. There was no way with my credit they were going to get us in a car in the payment range we needed to be in. After talking with the sales staff, it looked like we were going to have to come up with an unaffordable downpayment to do that. Five days later, Rudy was able to get me into a vehicle with no downpayment in a still affordable monthly payment. Their cars are newer with low mileage and very well maintained. This is definitely the dealer to visit if you need a car and you have less than perfect credit. This has been the most pain free experience in dealing with a dealership and I can understand this company went from a small rental company to as big of a dealership as they are now. More

Fantastic Experience From the moment we talked to Rich on the phone to the moment we drove off the lot, we felt like he really was for helping us buy a car. Unfortunately, From the moment we talked to Rich on the phone to the moment we drove off the lot, we felt like he really was for helping us buy a car. Unfortunately, we didn't qualify for the advertised deals you always hear on the radio, but we are confident Rich and Gordon got us the best deal possible for the car my husband had his heart set on. When we decided that we would like to try for the approval on the car, Rich got the ball rolling while we left to attend other errands and came back to work after the approval went through so we could get our new car that day! He was also VERY patient and not pushy while we made this massive financial decision. We came back with our kids for the final bits of paper work. I was worried that they would be too much of a distraction while we signed paper work but Rich got them some popcorn, the fish were very entertaining for them and Gordon gave them permission to use the basketball hoop! There were other children there as well and no one seemed to mind little ones running around. Over all it was the best experience I had with buying a car. Not once did my husband or I have reservations about being "taken for a ride." The only thing that bothers me is for the particular car we bought, there is no spare and we have to pay for it out of pocket... More
