Turns out we were able to trade in our vehicles and get into a minivan. Everyone we dealt with from the moment we walked in the door was professional and courteous. Upon arrival, my wife and I were greeted, and immediately were offered a beverage and to sit and discuss what we were looking for. As we were not sure of our qualifications, Rich had us looking at several different vehicles that we chose, and he was VERY knowledgeable about them all. We narrowed it down to three possibles that would fit my fuel efficiency requirements, as my commute was now going to be 80 miles a day. First things first was carfax, then the decision on a vehicle. I was skeptical that I would be approved, but rich assured me that everything would work. I did not have a trade, and when I decided on a Nissan Altima,that is when we went for the credit check.. The rate came back lower than expected,ALOT lower, The entire experience with Rich was one of honesty, and dedication to the customer. I tried to bust his guyones at all times, so as to make him earn his money!!! But he just never faltered. He even brought us through the lot where the vehicles hadnt been through the shop yet, and advised us that if there was one we liked, he would have it run through the shop immediately to facilitate a test drive.. I have always purchased brand new vehicles in the past but knew that I would have to go used if I wanted the Jeep. I had very specific features in mind and knew exactly what I wanted. During one of my searches on the web I located the Jeep I wanted at Merchants so thought I would go in and check it out. I had never been to Merchants before but knew they were very reputable. I met David Carter a sales associate who was very professional, personable and pleasant to work with. I honestly was expecting to get the typical sales speech that you get most everywhere but that wasn't the case with David. David made the experience about me, the customer and my needs which was a pleasant change from prior experiences with other dealers. I fell in love with the vehicle and in no time I was driving off the lot with exactly what I was looking for and felt very positive and comfortable with the entire process. I would definitely recommend Merchants to anyone who is looking for a used vehicle and doesn't want the typical run around. More

Great Experience This was the first used car that I have purchased since I was in high school. The last 5 cars that I purchased were all new. I was searching for a d This was the first used car that I have purchased since I was in high school. The last 5 cars that I purchased were all new. I was searching for a diesel Jetta for my daughter. After searching for two months, I noticed a 2010 on the Merchant's web page. I walked in at 03:15 on a Sunday and Bob Donati walked me around the car and let me do a quick drive around the parking lot. I let him know that I would talk to my wife and get back to him if we were interested. I returned less than one hour later with my wife and daughter and worked with Bob until well after closing. At this point Bob let me know that my inquiry earlier in the day as to why the car was priced lower than the other 2010 that was on the lot was in fact a mistake. However, he assured me that they would still honor the original price that I had seen on the car. At this point we agreed to buy the car and Bob turned us over to Steve to work the deal. Steve was also great and offered me a very good deal on a factory wrap warranty. I thought that I could do better, but after working through the internet I found that no one could match Steve's deal. I emailed him and set up a time to complete the deal the following day. The next day, Bob finished the deal and he was a consummate professional. He walked me through the paper work in under 15 minutes, got me a fuel voucher, and walked me out to my daughter's "new" car. To this point I have always bought my cars new and then drove them into the ground. After this great experience, I may have to rethink how I purchase my cars. Do not hesitate to work with Bob, he is great and Steve did a great job with the finances. More
