They had a good car that we liked. They did come down on the price of the car. But the $499 handling fee is a rip off. It charges the customer for the effort necessary to get the car ready to sell. If they had not cleaned up, and shined the car it would not have looked as nice as it did. This is the same fee they charge for a new car. The car sales price made the deal and we wanted the car, and we had to accept the rip off in order to get the car. Our previous car was also a Honda Odessy and we got it from CARMAX and only had to pay about $125 for handling. More

I shopped around at a number of car dealers; some competitor car brands, and also another Honda dealer. While most all of the experiences were satisfactory, I did have a few problems at almost every competitor car brands, and also another Honda dealer. While most all of the experiences were satisfactory, I did have a few problems at almost every other dealer; the “key machine” at one place was down and test drives couldn’t be done, one place needed to jump the battery on a car I wanted to test drive, and one place seemed almost disinterested in making any sales at all. Everyone at Midlands Honda acted professionally and was very helpful. They were helpful with test drives, information, etc. even when I told them on my first visit that I was not going to buy a car that day. And they didn’t push for a sale. Days later, after doing the market research in preparation of negotiating a purchase, I returned ready to buy. They were very fair with the price for the new car and on my trade-in and didn’t put me through any needless games. I was very satisfied with the whole experience. More
My experience at Midlands Honda was the best experience I had ever had buying a vehicle. I didn't have to haggle with them. They gave me a fair price on my first visit. They were courteous and friendly and most of all - they listened to me. Many of the dealerships I visited did not listen and showed me vehicles I was not interested in or did not show me the one I wanted to see. I did not know what vehicle I was going to purchase and visited every dealership in Columbia. Lucas was my favorite salesman of everyone. I finally narrowed it down to two vehicles and Midlands gave me the best deal. This is my first Honda but I am certain it will not be my last. More
My husband and I arrived at Midlands Honda to look at purchasing or leasing a new car. Mark greeted us and spoke with us about different options. Mark was very patient with us and did a great job of explaining all the details with us. After a couple hours, Mark got us a great deal on a new car. We really felt that Mark was working for us and on our side the whole process. We really enjoyed working with Mark and would definately recommend him and Midlands Honda to others. I would definately purchase a car there again and will be bring my new purchase there for maintenance also. This was my first time buying a new car and never felt pressured during the process and Mark made the whole process very smooth and painless. Mark did a great job and we felt that he was for of a friend than a salesperson. More
My family and I had an excellent experience at Midlands Honda. Our salesman, Mark Rossi, was friendly, approachable, informative, and direct. And, perhaps most surprisingly for a salesman, Mark was extre Honda. Our salesman, Mark Rossi, was friendly, approachable, informative, and direct. And, perhaps most surprisingly for a salesman, Mark was extremely genuine and forthright...we were instantly comfortable with him. He created a very low-pressure buying environment. Mr. Rossi did not "play games," and it was refreshing to just be able to have a direct conversation about the purchase. Not once did we feel pressured or "led." I would also like to comment on the great facility they have at Midlands Honda. My post-purchase finalities and detailing was done quickly. In the meantime, they had a spacious, comfortable waiting area with internet access, and a small play area for kids. Even our time in the finance office was, compared to other car-buying experiences, easy and comfortable. The finance office got us out, with our new car, in record time, and, once again, without "playing games" or trying to "push" something on us. It cannot exaggerate the "low-pressure" experience. I highly recommend this dealership, and Mark Rossi in particular...enough so that I'm taking the time to write something meaningful. P.S. Go Saints. More
We bought a 2010 Honda Accord from Midland's Honda and would definitely recommend them to friends and family. We had looked at another area Honda dealership that was closer to our home but we were not im would definitely recommend them to friends and family. Midland's Honda gave a lot more and we didn't feel the need to haggle, which is great. Our salesperson was wonderful, he knew a lot about the car and didn't try to pressure us. We will probably buy our next car from them as well. More

I started looking at Honda Certified cars and found Midlands Honda to have good number of Pre-Owned Certified Accords. I looked at their website and requested for a quote on a 2007 Honda Accord. I rece Midlands Honda to have good number of Pre-Owned Certified Accords. I looked at their website and requested for a quote on a 2007 Honda Accord. I received an immediate reply from Sam Reynolds for my enquiry. I drove all the way from Charlotte,NC to Columbia,SC to test drive the car that I selected on the internet. Shelley Fentress was the salesperson, she was pretty helpful. Once the test drive was done, I went inside the dealership to decide on the price and finance options. I had finance from credit union but Midlands Honda matched it with a better APR thru Honda Financing. After that the price negotiations started but the price was not reduced beyond a couple of hundred dollars. Once the price was agreed, I was taken over to Paul Ahn who sold an additional Hi-Tech Warranty which would cover the parts not covered by Honda warranty. Since, I drove alone from Charlotte, I could not take my Honda Accord back and instead told them I would be coming back the next day to pick it up. I also asked for a detailing job which was done very well. A temporary South Carolina tag was issued and Midlands Honda could not get the car registered in North Carolina. After couple of weeks they sent the paperwork to the NC DMV in Charlotte and I went there to get my car registered. One of the missing things which I realized later was that the dealer is supposed to show the 150 point checklist for the Honda Certified car. I did not get any checklist or certificate showing Honda Certification. But later I called up Honda Company to confirm the car was indeed entered as Honda Certified in their database and that I will be receiving a Certified Owner ID Card in mail. I would definitely suggest someone buying a Honda Certified car to inspect the 150 point checklist in addition to checking Carfax. In the end I can say it was a good buying experience at Midlands Honda. More
I am pleased with my whole experience in buying my new CR-V from Midlands Honda. Maureen took time to get me the best price, answer my questions, fill me in on things I did not think to ask about and mak CR-V from Midlands Honda. Bob was very patient explaining all the paperwork, twice! Everyone went out of their way to get me exactly what I wanted in a very timely manner.
