Alex Padron & Dominic were great sales associates and did everything that was asked of them. Alex remembered my prerequisites from my previous two purchases in 2015 and Dominic is a newer sales associate th everything that was asked of them. Alex remembered my prerequisites from my previous two purchases in 2015 and Dominic is a newer sales associate that is spot on. This was my 3rd vehicle purchase from Alex and Midway in the last 6 years. Now to issue/point of this review. The below areas of Midway truly disappointed me this time and when you spend 70 thousand dollars on a vehicle none of the below issues should be issues. *Finance Dept. -Didn’t transfer my specialty plates to my new truck as instructed/agreed upon -Now I must pay for this when it should have been included in my truck purchase ($55) *New vehicle add-on/install dept. -Got a “we promise to” at time of purchase -Did not clean/condition all my leather interior as agreed upon in the “we promise to” paperwork -Footprints on back of both front seats and all leather not cleaned and conditioned. -I met with Oscar personally to go over my train horn install. The first words out of his mouth is I quit installing train horns due to all the issues and once I install it, we will not warranty the work. Ok, sounds like an internal issue but not the correct way to treat a customer especially on the very first meeting. -I provided the new train horn with a horn button and a power button -I asked that the train horn parts not be inside my vehicle (expect the horn button and power button) or in the bed of my truck -Train horn air tank was installed in the bed of my truck (now I have 2 holes in the bed of my truck). -Power button was not even installed -Oscar did not contact me about the power button not being installed or if it was ok to put the air tank in the bed of my truck *Certified Used Inspection -This vehicle was a certified vehicle. -The air filter was extremely dirty/clogged -New air filter ($40) More
My experience at this dealership was absolutely incredible! My sales representative, Theus was so awesome, he didn't pressure me into anything and was very understanding of my situation. I purchased my car as part of the GM Friends and Family program and they had no clue what it was and still tried up charging/selling me on things I did not want. The car didn’t have everything I wanted on program and they had no clue what it was and still tried up charging/selling me on things I did not want. The car didn’t have everything I wanted on it, so we negotiated on a lower cost for the dealer added crap (ZAK Paint Protection, tint, and some clean vinyl for door dings ($250 for a $0.99 strip of vinyl, wow)) and that I would be able to add the cosmetic upgrades I wanted at the cost the dealer gets the part. I was happy to pay for the service, but I didn't want to pay the inflated part cost. Deal, bought the car. Weeks later, after I tried numerous times to get the parts ordered, they told me they couldn't honor the deal and said, "You already got a good deal on the car, we can't do more." What a dumb reason to lose a customer. Shoutout to Steve Garcia, he was very friendly and easy to work with. Easily a highlight of the purchase. More
I took my car in for transmission issues. The adviser Edgar asked me if coolant was having issue, I said I’ve had to fill it once but hasn’t been having much of an issue. They said it would be 500 to fix Edgar asked me if coolant was having issue, I said I’ve had to fill it once but hasn’t been having much of an issue. They said it would be 500 to fix reservoir(2 hoses and couple clips is all it is) **noting I made a 30 minute drive there, popped hood for him. No coolant leaking or any bubbling or issues from anything. No coolant in my driveway, or anywhere I’ve parked. Fast forward a week and I pick my car up from getting transmission fixed and get about 7 minutes down the road, car overheating. I pulled over and popped the hook. Noticed coolant reservoir cap shaking, steam coming from area, coolant spewing from reservoir, and not even 2 seconds after popping hood reservoir cap popped off, hit me in face and COVERED MY LEFT ARM IN BOILING COOLANT. Called dealership and first guy I spoke with seemed concerned and was trying to help. Then my advisor Edgar got on the phone, didn’t care what was going on and said “well I told you the part was bad” “it’s under pressure” etc. throwing blame to me. There were no issues AT ALL OTHER THAN I TOLD HIM IVE HAD TO FILL IT UP ONCE WHEN IT WAS LOW. This was not helpful at all. Tow truck driver said he had another vehicle today with similar issue, started spewing diesel after body work. WOULD NOT TRUST THESE TECHNICIANS WITH ANYTHING!! CAP WAS NOT PUT ON RESERVOIR RIGHT, RESERVOIR WAS JUST HANGING THERE NOT CLIPPED IN. AND THEN TO BE TREATED AS IF ITS MY FAULT AFTER I WAS COVERED IN COOLANT BECAUSE THIS WAS NOT PUT TOGETHER PROPERLY. My arm is now covered in burns and blisters because of this. If the coolant would have shot into my eyes I would be blind or serious face burns. I have pictures of everything but cannot post pictures that I know of on here More
I’ll never buy from Midway again. They are in the dark ages as to what buyers want in a purchase process. I arrived on a Sunday morning to take delivery of the truck that I had purchased. I couldn’t compl ages as to what buyers want in a purchase process. I arrived on a Sunday morning to take delivery of the truck that I had purchased. I couldn’t complete the purchase on my first visit because the idiots couldn’t find a key to it. The vehicle was not detailed and the paperwork was not ready. Two hours later, they still hadn’t finished with the delivery. And they have a ridiculous corporate policy that you need to show an insurance card for your new vehicle at purchase. Totally unnecessary because insurance companies automatically cover you on a new vehicle purchase. Midway doesn’t tell you about their policy in advance. Try getting an insurance card on a weekend! Found a Tahoe I was looking for with the options I wanted. I went through the internet sales department to purchase the vehicle. I drove to Midway to sign the purchase agreement and leave a deposit si wanted. I went through the internet sales department to purchase the vehicle. I drove to Midway to sign the purchase agreement and leave a deposit since the vehicle was in transit. After arriving at Midway I asked about a more definitive delivery date, I was informed that the vehicle I was purchase was not available as the General Manager was purchasing the vehicle for his son. I am totally confused at the ineptitude of the sales team as well as why this would even show as available inventory. I even asked to speak to the GM with no call, text or email. I will now order exactly what I want through Van Chevrolet. I highly recommend seeing Scott Daly. Not only will he find you the best deal but is honest as well. More
Bought a 2021 Chevy work truck on 11/21/20 - the truck had 140 miles on it - two days later it broke down with major computer issues. HERE IS THE TRUCK INFO: LISTED AS NEW ON THEIR WEBSITE: SILVERADO 1 had 140 miles on it - two days later it broke down with major computer issues. HERE IS THE TRUCK INFO: LISTED AS NEW ON THEIR WEBSITE: SILVERADO 1500 WT TRUCK VIN: 1GCPYAEH8MZ116267Stock: MZ116267 The customer service was horrible after the truck broke. Instead of them taking the lead and getting the vehicle towed, my husband had to sit on the MY Chevy app to try and get it towed. The APP did not work and after two hours of trying to get it towed he called back to the dealer and finally had them set everything up. The truck went into the service department. After 2 days of no phone calls, he called the service department who informed us that the computer was bad! The computer went bad on a brand new 2021 Silverado with 220 miles on it. At this point we did not feel comfortable buying this truck. I went into the dealership on Tuesday 11/24 to get a refund for the vehicle or substitute for a like vehicle. They were unwilling to make a deal on a substitute vehicle so we asked if they were willing to order the same vehicle at the same price - we were told to wait until the day after Thanksgiving for an answer. At this point the truck was titled under our names and we had yet to receive a refund. The truck was already listed back on their website as new truck when technically it was still our truck. We called GM Corporate Customer Service to file a complaint. The GM corporate service guy looked up the VIN number and said that truck was previously at Freeway Chevrolet with wiring issues. After some more research we think they sold us a used truck as new and also sold us a vehicle with known issues without disclosing the issues. We went the day after Thanksgiving to get a refund - we no longer wanted to do business with Midway. We received our refund without undoing any of the paperwork that we'd previously signed. We think the dealership can get around this because they use a third party title service. Basically they shred or tear up the title paperwork before it goes through and then they sell the vehicle as new again. After two weeks of waiting for an answer from GM corporate my husband just received their response. GM corporate basically said they cant do anything about it and it is an issue with the dealership. BUYER BEWARE. MIDWAY CHEVY does some shady business practices. Silver lining: We did get a refund for the truck and we went out and spent more money buying a reliable Toyota Tundra in lieu of a 2021 Silverado that broke with 220 miles on it. I would give MIDWAY CHEVY zero stars if it was an option. We don't want this to happen to any other consumers who are willing to spend $40,000 on a new vehicle from MIDWAY Chevrolet. We will be filing complaints with the BBB, Attorney General, GM Corporate, Midway Customer Service Manager, Midway Sales Manager, Midway General Manager, and the Managing partner of Midway Chevrolet.
