I purchased my 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring in October 2010. I could not be more pleased with my experience with Mirak Hyundai and with my car. I chose Mirak to take a test drive because of their location; however, after I purchased my car, neighbors of mine relayed to me their own positive experiences with Mirak. In particular, I would recommend Jonathan Buck, who was my salesperson. He was polite, friendly, never pushy, and knew his merchandise. The #1 criteria that I had for a car was to be able to sit in the front seat without discomfort to my neck due to the headrests. I had test driven cars at Honda, Mazda, Ford, and Toyota, and no one was able to address this issue. Jonathan, however, thought outside of the box and devised the perfect solution for me. The driver's seat is now more comfortable than the couch in my living room! I added a rear spoiler to my car that was installed by the Mirak Service Department. As with the Sales Department, my experience with the Service Department was excellent. The workmanship was also excellent; the spoiler looks like it was installed at the factory. And it gives the car a nice, sporty look. They have a spacious waiting area with Internet connection and a T.V. so I was able to wait right there for an hour while they installed the spoiler. I did exhaustive online research prior to purchasing my car. Therefore, I already knew quite a bit about features, safety ratings, and pricing. (You cannot beat a Hyundai in these areas combined.) I did not require financing information. And I did not have dealership information. Therefore, I have been pleased that I just "happened upon" the Mirak dealership. On a scale from "1" to "5", they are a "10"! (And I LOVE my car!) More
I was recently in dire need of a new vehicle and visited Mirak Hyundai in Arlington. I was greeted and assisted by Mr. Jonathan Buck. As soon as I walked in, he was a pleasure to work with, he answered all of my questions, gave me the best price, was patient and even offered me coffee numerous times! Even after I purchased the vehicle, he encouraged me to call anytime if I ever had any questions. Jonathan was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is interested in purchasing a vehicle! More
I wanted to like this dealership. Convenient location and had the car I was looking for (Genesis Coupe RT). Dragged my husband in to the dealership on a Sunday afternoon and not a single person even acknowle had the car I was looking for (Genesis Coupe RT). It's okay if you're busy, but to actively avoid all contact for the 20-25 minutes we were there waiting for someone to help us? Makes me skeptical of your customer service. Edited to add that Norm and the rest of the crew at Mirak bent over backwards when they realized what had happened. Would definitely recommend calling ahead, though, if there's something that you really want to see and want to make sure that someone has the time to spend with you. That's the case with any dealership, though. More
Things got off to a rocky start when (as we found out later), the internet salesperson accidentally made me a quote for the trim beneath the one I wanted. That made the quote look attractive. Then I was told that both colors I was interested in were on the lot. I wasted a trip to the dealer to discover that they weren't. Then, given the chance to try to win back my business, they did not lift a finger -- neither by honoring the mistaken quote nor by providing another one they could live with. I can imagine others have a much better experience with them, and they were helpful to me on previous visits, but ultimately I feel this negative review is justified based on the lack of attempt to rectify the deal when it was clearly off track. UPDATE: see response below. I did manage to update the ratings. I also changed the overall recommendation to "yes" because I get the sense they'd handle traditional sales well. My bad experience was largely by coming in through the internet back door, and I can believe they will improve there as well. More
I recently moved to the Arlington area, and was recommended to the Mirak Chevy Dealership for any maintenance needed on my Chevy Malibu. I have experienced excellent service all around, but what has prompted me to write this review is the bodywork that was just completed on my car. Doug Wiswall was courteous, friendly, and fair in estimating the cost of the bodywork; he (and his team) completed the repair early and beautifully, squeezing me in before the Thanksgiving holidays. Also, the detailing on both the interior and exterior was a very nice touch. My car is absolutely gleaming, and looks just like new! I would definitely recommend Mirak Chevy, and especially the Collision Center, to any one looking for quality service. More
I cannot say enough good things about the people at Mirak. I had previously purchased my car there (read my review), next had an oil change. On that trip I was treated with friendliness, courtesy and respect for my time. Next...unfortunately , had front end damage on my Hyundai Elantra. WHen thinking of who to bring it to, my first thought was, Mirak Collision. I am so happy I did!. From the first phone call to Kathy to explain my damage and needing help, I was treated with caring and professionalism. She listened to my story and got me in at my first convenience to have it looked at. Next, I showed up at Mirak with my car and was immediately greeted and met with Jim Cummings to assess the damage. Jim was very patient and thorough as he examined my car and listened to my concerns. He was explained things in detail to me, not just what needed to be done , but what was damaged and why, without me having to ask, as it should be as I would have had no idea what questions to ask other than what need to be done and an estimate. He met with my insurance appraiser the next day and everything got moving. Kathy kept me updated on the progress on the work and made sure to tell me when she would call me next to check in. Then, the day came........Kathy called and said my car was ready, which, was SOONER than estimated. The charges were on estimate as well and worth every penny for the great work that was done. When I went to get my car I was greeted again by Jim and he showed me my car. Unbelievable! It looked better than when I bought it new (had only 5000 miles on it ) I mean, it was gleaming perfection! I was stunned. I asked who had done the work on my car (and it was extensive). His name is Bill Vachon..a master! Afterwards, when a friend who has experience with car repairs saw it, he too agreed, the work was top notch and was impressed. I cannot say enough good things about the crew at Mirak. They go the extra mile to make you feel important and satisfied with their service. They even washed and shined up the inside and outside of my car, even the wheels! It looked stunning. They are professional, caring, honest and helpful. Thank you all for making a frustrating situation as easy as possible! More
I had done lots of research on the 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS before meeting Jonathan. Dealt with a number of dealerships "Internet Services" for buying a new car. Used various online car buying tools so I felt comfortable with what I wanted to spend before going to Mirak. Arrived and was warmly greeted by Jonathan. The dealership already had much of my information on file. I indicated the color preference and basic options and he did a search for a car. While sitting there, they checked out my old car for trade and by the time he found a match, they had a price ready for my car. He was a little high on the final figure and I asked for only 1 price adjustment. He came back and said, no problem. I left a deposit on the car, spoke a little more with Jonathan and was out the door in less than 40 minutes. He was excellent as were all of the people I dealt with in the dealership. On delivery, took me down to meet the service department. Explained and offered to set up anything I didn't understand. The car is beautiful, Jonathan was great and I have never had a better car buying experience. More
After shopping around for a few months to replace a much-loved compact wagon that had served well for 15 years, I was not very satisfied with any of the affordable (under $25k) replacement options. Everything was either a little too small, a lot too large, unreliable, not well laid out inside, or otherwise inferior to my older vehicle. I would have been happy to wait another year, as models seemed to be moving in the (Eurostyle) direction I wanted. But the old wagon was starting to fall apart, and was unlikely to pass inspection in five months. I planned to wait until then, and buy whatever was the nearest fit on the best promotional sale. There isn't a very close Hyundai dealer to me, so I hadn't bothered looking, or even doing complete Web research. Happened to be passing through Arlington with spare time, though, so called ahead and dropped into Mirak. Sales team (salesman, sales manager, office manager) were all polite and pleasant. I was given straightforward information with no pressure or games. They happened to have one of the relatively uncommon model I wanted (Elantra Touring manual) on the lot, so I stretched the time and took a test drive. Car handled nicely and seemed generally suitable. Got pricing information, thanked dealer, said I'd think about it. Went home, did more research, thought hard about grinding noises coming from current vehicle's front axle. Called dealer, talked more seriously about price, including trade-in and a few add-ons. They were surprisingly generous, given old car's condition. Thought about it some more, said I'd be back the next day to buy the car. Can't recall a previous auto purchase as effortless, pleasant, smooth. Everything was ready on time; Ken even managed to transfer all my radio settings to the new vehicle during the brief paperwork ceremony. They introduced me to the service staff as well, which was nice. Additional keys, mats, etc. arrived in good time. Car has performed fine so far. I can recommend this dealership and salesman without reservation. It's a bit further than I liked from home, but quality of dealership makes it worth the drive. And there are plenty of worthwhile shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities right nearby to make it something of a destination. More

I recently brought my 2003 Accent in to fix the transmission. I was very frustrated because I've had transmission trouble before, but Bill and Craig figured out what was wrong and got it fixed. They kept me updated on the status and were flexible about when I was able to pick the car up. I always have very good customer service at Mirak. They are good at listening to the problem and working with the customer to fix what's necessary. I'd recommend this service center to my friends. More
