My overall experience was great,my only complaint is that they didn’t wash & vacuum my car like they have done in the past. They do not stand behind their products they sell you I am writing this review to inform you of my absolute dissatisfaction with my recent purchase of a used 2014 Ford Focus SE. I bought this vehicle from I am writing this review to inform you of my absolute dissatisfaction with my recent purchase of a used 2014 Ford Focus SE. I bought this vehicle from Mooresville Ford in Mooresville, NC for which I am completely disappointed. I visited the dealership in order to test drive and possibly purchase the 2014 Focus with only 44,000 miles on it. After test driving the vehicle for a few miles, it felt fine to me so I decided to purchase the vehicle. Before purchasing the vehicle I was assured by the staff that it underwent a rigorous inspection from the Ford certified mechanics on site and that there was nothing for me to worry about. After the finance manager went through the paperwork, I signed and was on my way. Soon after driving off of the lot I noticed unusual shuddering and unsafe issues with the vehicle. I called the dealership to inquire about returning the vehicle – they laughed at the proposition, saying that there is no “cooling off period” in North Carolina and they are not legally bound to take the car back. This may be so, but my brother recently purchased a used vehicle from another Ford dealership (Doug Henry) in the state and several other dealerships I visited had similar policies so I thought it was common practice; it turns out I was wrong. Now I am stuck with a defective vehicle. I promptly took the vehicle to another local Ford dealership to be evaluated and fixed under warranty. It turns out that the clutch was broken and required replacement. I am upset with Mooresville Ford for several reasons: 1) They sold me a defective car and either failed to properly inspect and test the vehicle before selling it or they lied to me about the known issue. 2) They belittled me as a person and my efforts to seek what I think is a fair business option by returning a broken vehicle that they sold me. I know this may not seem like a big deal to the dealership or Ford, but this is a huge deal to me. Not only did Ford lose a lifetime customer in me and everyone that I know, but now Ford will be responsible for covering the costs of repairing this vehicle as long as it is under warranty. All because Mooresville Ford was negligent and unprofessional in their responsibilities as a dealership. The way I was treated by Mooresville Ford is absolutely unacceptable and disheartening as I dedicate my life to saving those of others as a physician. I hope this review sheds some light on Ford and this dealership in particular. I am in the process of sending a letter to Ford Motor Company as well as leaving a similar review to this one on every social media and review website I can find. I will also be filing a complaint with Better Business Bureau. More
