My most recent experience started when I went on the Ford website to explore the trade in value of the car I was driving. Ford notified Shelor of my inquiry, and Bowie Clift got in touch with me, and we tal website to explore the trade in value of the car I was driving. Ford notified Shelor of my inquiry, and Bowie Clift got in touch with me, and we talked a bit about what I was looking for, and what I wanted to do. I wanted to get out of the little economy car I had just bought two years ago, and into a truck. When I arrived, Bowie handed me off to Brendan Howard, who took over from there. I went into this knowing what I could afford and having only a general idea of what I was looking for. Brendan thought about it for a moment and presented me with a truck he thought I might like. He read me like a book, apparently. Boy did I ever like that truck. I think I was gone almost a full hour on the test drive, and to be honest with you, I figured it was the last time I'd ever get to drive that truck. It was too expensive. Too far out of reach. Over budget. Love it, want it, have to be a grown man and accept reality. Or maybe not! Long story short, Brendan and several other people (I was too caught up in the truck to take note of their names) ended up working way past closing to get that deal done. I got the numbers I needed to make it all work, and I drove the truck home the same night. I am very satisfied across the board, and really don't have even minor complaints. More
Having been rudely treated at a dealership in the Charlotte,NC area, we started looking for a new truck in other places. After contacting several in NC, SC, TN, and Va., were traveling thru on a Fri Charlotte,NC area, we started looking for a new truck in other places. After contacting several in NC, SC, TN, and Va., were traveling thru on a Friday night. My wife said we might as well stop at Shelor Ford and look at the truck that I had talked with the internet sales person (Neal Francis) about since it was late an they would be closed, (no sales pressure). We pulled into the lot at about 8:45 PM and were surprised to see several people still there. We looked at a truck and started to leave but tried the front door and went in. I was greeted very cheerfully by Dwight Funk, who is the sales manager at Shelor Ford and who told me that they were closed but he would stay as long as needed to serve a customer. We got a quote very fast an it was much better than any previous one that I had received. I made arrangements to return Saturday to purchase the truck as we had held Dwight up long enough. After continuing on to our destination I discovered that we had written the wrong stock # down and had priced a cheaper version of the truck that we wanted. When we returned Saturday all was worked out and we still got the better deal. As we were filling out the final paperwork with our salesman Joe Buchanan, who by the way is the most knowledgeable on the F-150 that I have ever seen, the sales manager Dwight came back in and stopped our paperwork process to inform us that he had found an additional rebate and to discard the already agreed to price and knock the additional rebate off. A lot of work, a great beyond the call of duty move as I just stated , we had already agreed on price. Do you honestly think that any other sales manager would have done that? I don't. I have been involved with the purchase of 11 new vehicle deals in my lifetime and I must say that this was the absolute best car deal experience that I have ever been a part of bar none. Shelor dealers are there to serve and serve they do. With many loaner vehicles on hand you won't be looking for a ride while yours is being serviced. Also every 1st oil change is free with another free one after each four as I understand it. All in all a great car buying experience for my wife and I. Charlie and Dee Robinson Gastonia, NC More

I never felt confused our that I was out of the loop of what was going on with my car purchase. This was my very first time buying a car for myself and I felt very confident with my sales person. Each department was very friendly and as a pastor I'm big on! The mini tour of the motor mile campus was an excellent addition. Whether Brendan did that on his on initiative while we were waiting for paper to process or it is something that each sales person is trained to do. It was an excellent idea. Great Job Motor Mile!
