My low score is due to poor communication, inconsistent inspection results, and an inability to diagnose several issues with a used vehicle I purchased from them a few months ago. After inspecting my vehicle for the concerns I raised, as well as several items which were not an issue, they listed over $2,500 in repairs, stating every line item, “Needs immediate attention.” At the time of purchase the front brakes were reported to have more than 50% of their expected life left, but 2,100 miles later they were declared to be nearly gone, with only 2mm of material remaining. When I asked about the discrepancy, the service department representative told me I needed to take it up with the sales department. When I spoke with someone in sales, he said the service department makes money by selling parts, and regardless of the need, new brakes are going to be better than my used brakes. One employee told me the spark plugs had been replaced right before I purchased the vehicle. Another employee said they were worn and in need of replacement, and a third employee said they really don’t know how old they are and suggested replacement as a proactive precautionary measure. This would add $480, including the EFP service to “maximize the engine’s performance” after replacing the spark plugs. The service tech couldn’t determine the source of the green liquid leaking onto the ground, but suggested it could be water from the a/c drain that drips onto the exhaust, and then looks greenish/yellow on the ground. Another employee said it looked like windshield wiper fluid, and a third employee suggested bringing my vehicle somewhere else to have an expert double-check the diagnostic work I paid My Auto Import to perform. Several calls and emails were never returned, the two department managers did not respond to my requests for information and clarification, and the experience was completely frustrating overall. In fairness, I gave two stars because there were several people on staff who are very friendly, and they each made a much-appreciated effort to provide cheerful, attentive customer service. More
