Dave Burford here, Business Development Manager. Really sorry that you had to experience such a delay in having a recall performed on your vehicle. As you may not be aware, in the case of some recalls, we are able to order an ample supply of required parts once they become available; however, in most cases, the manufacturer requires us to order individual parts for each individual Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Regardless of the recall, customers are required to make a service appointment, at which time we research the vehicle to determine if any recalls are pending. If a recall is pending and we have parts on hand, we simply complete the recall. If a recall is pending and we are required to order parts, parts are placed on order and completion of the recall is rescheduled. For information, regardless of the reason for your service visit, for example, a routine oil change, we do, as a matter of routine, scan each vehicle for pending recalls and advise our customers of such. While it may appear to you that we were not prepared for your service visit, hope you can understand that it's simply a process that the manufacturer requires us to follow prior to ordering parts. Jeep needs recall service. I arrive to learn that "nobody looks at appointments". That means parts weren't ordered in preparation for the appointment (1-2 days delivery I was told)." So the appointment was made, and nobody acted on it. Period. Its now 2 full business days since my visit. I trust I'll be hearing from the service department soon regarding delivery of parts and schedule of service.
