New Motors started as a gas station in 1927 in Hartstown, PA as a gas and service station with Vincent New as proprietor. He later grew to selling Chevrolets and pre-owned farm equipment.
As times changed in the automotive industry, the Chevrolet sales were eliminated and replaced with a used car outlet and Volvo's acquisition in 1963 followed by Saab and Fiat. His 2 sons, Larry and Gary, began working in their father's garage in the early 60's.
The New brothers quickly learned that hard work and good service would earn a customer for life. It was this work ethic that influenced Larry and Gary to develop the company's mission statement:
"To ensure that you remain our customer for life we are committed to exceed your expectations---Period!"
Every employee from the original 3, to the current 95, practices the mission statement, striving for customer satisfaction.
The decision was made to move the dealership to Erie, PA as an exclusive Volvo dealer in 1971. The 8,000 square foot building was built on 3 acres of land. Vincent New passed away just 3 short months after the completion of the New dealership. He did not get to see the expansion to 80 acres with facilities combining 42,500 square feet of work space with 2 showrooms housing the current used department and 3 franchises (Subaru, Volkswagen, and BMW).
New Motors is now the top parts wholesaler in PA, Ohio, New York, Virginia, and West Virginia. The company has earned the dealer of excellence and Stellar Performers Certification from Subaru for their drive in outstanding customer Satisfaction.

I was looking for a certified BMW X5. Steve Quinn was very welcoming from the moment I walked in. He answered all my questions on couple of X5 models they had in which I was interested. The first Tiguan we bought was so fast and thorough, I was completely taken aback. We weren’t planning on buying a car from New Motors and we only stopped to see what the had in the lot because the salesman at Super Joes Kia was such a jerk and we could tell he just didn’t want to deal with us because we didn’t have our best clothes on. This new car is a 2025 Taos and Kevin showed us all the cool instruments in the car and how to use them. Like I said he is the best and the next time I’m ready to buy, it will be from Kevin. I was greeted almost immediately by Nick Gasier, with all of my needs in mind, he showed me the car that I was most interested in purchasing. All of my questions, even some silly, were promptly answered. Wit of my needs in mind, he showed me the car that I was most interested in purchasing.
