I brought my pops 2016 ford fusion in due to the fact that one day he got into his car and it didn't start. All it did was a clicking sound which it was an indication of a low battery. The only thing tha that one day he got into his car and it didn't start. All it did was a clicking sound which it was an indication of a low battery. The only thing that gets me is that there were no signs, it didn't hesitate to start what so ever and the car was operating fine. But I haven't even got to the craziest part about this ford fusion, it was giving codes on the display panel in the dashboard, POWER STEERING ASSIST FUALT and SERVICE ADVANCE TRAC. So we had this ford towed back to where my pops purchased this vehicle from, Norm Reeves Ford in Cerritos, he bought this car cash from them with roughly 78,500 miles and drove it for roughly 3,000 miles in ONE year! I would also like to point out that the sales/closing personal was quick to sale my pops on a theft warranty, charged him $650 which was just to activate the car alarm which my pops thought it was a mechanical warranty, all he just heard was warranty and said ok to them. They were quick to sale him on that why didn't they sale him a mechanical one that would of covered the vehicle for 100,000 miles that would of covered the expense. Did they know something? The techs did a diagnostic on it and came out that it needed a new battery, which I had figured and was fine with it. But when I was told that this ford needed a new steering gear assembly for only about $2,300! I was not expecting that and someone needs to explain to me how in the xxxx does a dead battery, damage the steering gear assembly that needed to be replaced! This is when I had to let my pops know that he didn't have warranty. My pops ended paying $1,000 not the $2,300 for a battery, alignment, and steering gear assembly do to the fact that after talking to the used car manager, because my pops did purchased it used and only drove it for roughly 3,000 miles and he discounted $1,000 from the bill. My pops said that he has never heard of this isusue on a car in his 60 plus years of driving. We had just came back from a 200 mile drive to Victorville a few days before this happened and the steering was great. Thanks to God nothing happened while we were driving for that many mile on the freeway. His final conclusion is to take a lost financially and trade it in and get himself another vehicle and believe me it will not be a ford. More
