Really came through on my 2023 Bronco. My original 2021 4 door automatic order was delayed again to a 2024. South Bay Ford had a 2 door manual on the lot. Because of the issues on my original order they gave me a great price on the 2 door that more than made up for loosening 2 doors and the automatic. After driving it now for a few days I’m very happy with the quality, price, and South Bay Ford (not so much for Ford Motor Company with their total lack of communication and ability to produce my original order)

I am writing to formally raise concerns regarding misleading advertising and pricing practices at your dealership. The vehicle price advertised was not the actual price required to complete the purchase. After I proceeded based on the listed price, the dealership increased the total by over $3,000 through mandatory add-ons. When I cited California SB 478 (the “Honest Pricing” or “Hidden Fees” law), the manager became hostile and stated that if I did not agree to pay for LoJack, the dealership did not want my business. SB 478, effective October 2023 as an amendment to the Consumers Legal Remedies Act, requires businesses to advertise the full, all-in price and prohibits undisclosed mandatory fees. The manager further stated he was unaware of SB 478, which does not excuse noncompliance and may explain the dealership’s unlawful advertising practices. This conduct appears to constitute deceptive advertising and bait-and-switch tactics in violation of California law. I am documenting this experience accordingly. Sincerely, Shelley

I attempted to buy a used 2022 Mustang Mach-E GT (VIN ending 2119) from Star Ford Glendale at the $27,539 “Star Price” shown on their website. Since I’m ~400 miles away, I requested an out-the-door quote and to hold it with a deposit while I arranged a cashier’s check and travel. After some back-and-forth providing info, Jasmine texted me saying ”since we have your credit app/deposit we will hold the vehicle unless you would like to not proceed” Their first OTD quote included a $395 VIN etching add-on and was also $250 higher than the advertised website price (I provided a screenshot of). After I referenced SB478 banning required add-ons, they removed the etching but still kept pricing $250 above the website using the excuse that other people had expressed interest and it was a bug that was no longer live (I was able to get it to provide the same price again after they claimed this) After numerous texts/calls, I was told a manager approved honoring the website price and that a final revised OTD reflecting the advertised pricing would be sent. I was then resent the previous quote that was $250 high which I pointed out, and the response was “Wow you’re right let me get that fixed” While waiting, I emailed the deposit/CC information since we had verbally agreed on terms. After over an hour of waiting for the corrected OTD price sheet and contacting multiple employees, I received a call from Ryan. Despite no warning and it being less than three hours after being told the car was being held for me, Ryan said they were not holding it and were selling it to an in-person buyer that evening. I asked to speak with the manager and was told the manager was out and neither myself or Ryan could reach him. I was later informed Ryan is actually the owner of the dealership and that he was the one that made the decision to rescind the deal after personally approving it. It's absurd it took hours of back and forth between six phone calls and dozens of text messages just to get a dealer to sell a vehicle at their own asking price. Then after all that just decide to not honor the hold that was confirmed IN WRITING is something else.

Very disappointing experience with service department I brought my 2018 Ford Raptor to this dealership for a fully synthetic oil change and tire rotation and paid about $100 for the service. About a month later I noticed a large oil leak under my truck while leaving work. Because it was leaking heavily, I immediately took the vehicle to a trusted independent service shop to avoid risking engine damage. The technician there found the oil leaking directly from the oil filter area. The filter itself was damaged and cracked, and the oil appeared extremely dark for something that had supposedly been changed only a month earlier. Because of this, the truck required another oil change and filter replacement immediately just to make it safe to drive. According to the mechanic who inspected it, the oil filter appeared mangled as if significant force had been used on it, and based on the condition of both the filter and the oil, he believed the oil and filter may not have been changed during the original service. His opinion was that the technician may have struggled to remove the filter and left the original one in place, which would explain both the damage and the condition of the oil. I contacted the dealership to try to resolve the situation. They stated they had camera footage proving the oil change and filter replacement were completed. However, they refused to provide a copy of the video. The only thing they were willing to send were low quality screenshots from a distant camera angle, which did not clearly show the oil being drained or the filter being replaced. They insisted I would have to come into the dealership in person if I wanted to see the actual footage. When I spoke with the general manager, the conversation felt very dismissive. He repeatedly said the footage proved everything and that they were confident nothing was done wrong, but still refused to provide the video file unless I came in to watch it there. The only resolution they offered was a free oil change if I brought the truck back, which I declined because after this experience I no longer feel comfortable bringing my vehicle back to their service department. All I asked for was a refund of the original oil service, but that was refused. Between the emergency repair, the time taken out of my work day, and the inconvenience of dealing with this situation, the entire experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Not to mention the general manager Mike is extremely rude and unprofessional

Our salesman told us we were getting a rebate and we did not get a rebate. He overcharged us for financing. I asked him to call USAA for financing. He said he did and they were high. I called USAA, they also are my insurance company as well as my bank, to put insurance on the car and they offered me financing for lower than the dealer. They also offered me an extended warranty for less than half the price of the dealer. I tried for three days after the sale to talk to someone and no one returned my calls. Very dissatisfied. I would never reccomend this dealer for a purchase!
