I ordered a new Mustang to be delivered. Because of the backlog it too 6 months to get the car. With Covid, I wanted to do as much of the actual purchase process as possible on-line or on the phone before backlog it too 6 months to get the car. But the system apparently isn’t set up that way. So even though I went through the Ford website to pick options (extended warranty, etc.) and made an appointment, it was like they’d never talked to me when I arrived. And they had none of the online data and pricing even though it was theoretically sent to them. 3 hours after I arrived I finished. All the sales people were nice and tried to help, but this wasn’t complicated and should have taken much less time. Especially during Covid times, there needs to be a way to do most of this other than in person. More
