I hate this tactic that I think most dealers (not just this one) use: When the sales person presents a price and asks if it would be acceptable, you say "yes" but then he has to "ask the manager." Then the sales person comes back with a higher amount, blames it on "the manager." Why even suggest an amount if you can't honor it? Such a weird game. They make it sound like the sales person is on your side, and it is the fault of the unseen manager that won't offer a better deal. They also did a bait and switch on my trade in value. They offered an amount, asked if it was acceptable, then came back from "the manager" with a reduced amount. WTH? They also add extra costs for things you didn't ask for that you now have to work at removing. So after going back and forth with "the manager," I ended up basically just a few bucks less than the online price shown on the vehicle. I suppose I got a fair deal (not a great deal) on the used RAV4 Hybrid I ultimately bought, but it sure took a lot of time and effort to get there. I will say that the people I dealt with directly were friendly and tried to be helpful. I have bought a vehicle from this dealership before and I have had multiple Toyotas serviced by them as well, so that's why I am still going to recommend this dealership. The dealer didn’t know where the wheel lock key was located in my car, they ordered new wheel locks, cut the old ones off the car damaging one of the rims, later they found the original lock key under located in my car, they ordered new wheel locks, cut the old ones off the car damaging one of the rims, later they found the original lock key under the hood where it was placed by factory. I brought my car here to fix the tire pressure sensor light multiple times but they never fix it and yet they charge me for the labor, I got the car from them brand new in 2022, not even a year I had thi light multiple times but they never fix it and yet they charge me for the labor, I got the car from them brand new in 2022, not even a year I had this problem already. Now it’s been 2 yrs they haven’t fix it. The third time I went there for the same issue they told me that the tire pressure sensor is not communicating, they want me to come back another time. I went to Toyota Northridge instead and they helped me, they told me that who ever service my car ( North Hollywood toyota )messed up and broke the rim that’s why the tire pressure sensor is on. Northridge Toyota fixed it for me without charge. So thanks to them. More
