I have worked with Howard Handler a couple of times in regards to leasing and I had nothing but the most pleasant experience with him and i would recommend him to everyone I know. I bought a new 2012 nissan sentra. when i went to pick it up it wasn't the one i picked out. SHAWN the salesman said he gave me this one because it only had like 5 miles on it. he said the one i picked out h up it wasn't the one i picked out. SHAWN the salesman said he gave me this one because it only had like 5 miles on it. he said the one i picked out had about 25 miles on it. i figure he was doing me good. WRONG.the one they sold me was damaged to the drivers side mirror. they used small sheet metal screws and it looks like glue to fix. who ever did it did a fairly good job. i didn't notice it until i washed my car and sponge got hung up on sheet metal screw.they should have told me it had damage to it and they fixed it. why didn't they just put a new mirror on car. i complain to shawn & mike about it. they said there was nothing they could do. itold them something has to be done. they asked me what do you want. i told them i'm fed up with north plainfield nissan . told them give me back my 2010 ford focus and part of my money. i paid cash gave them $4,552.53 plus focus. they said it could not be done.they said they would put a new mirror on and put mud guards on for free. brought car in to have mirror and mud guards put on now they tell me they don't make them yet for a 2012 sentra. they lied to me ,i did some checking.Ibuy a new car every couple of years it WILL NOT BE A NISSAN ALL BECAUSE OF NORTH PLAINFIELD NISSAN RT. 22 NORTH PLAINFIELD N.J. to make a long story short. i purchased a new versa and they threw the maximum of junk fees into the car after i told them that i do not want it. such wrap, gap insurance. you see, bad credit is good for t they threw the maximum of junk fees into the car after i told them that i do not want it. such wrap, gap insurance. you see, bad credit is good for them because they can take advantage of people that i have limited options compared to people with good credit.. they promised me cash back into the deal and a week later they told me they will not give me cash back because they added it on the deal. whcih means they going to split that extra cash back among themselves. so in conclusion a versa whcih msrp is 14-15k max ended up costing me 22k. you beleive that. consumer affairs was contacted and they only serve the best interest of nissan dealers and not customers. how, they never returned back calls, no matter what. you are just prompted and transferred to thier voice mail...... caution: never sign something you dod not understand. if they do give you a price a quote first do move along the deal.... I went there in July 2011, I wanted to buy new Altima. I met Randy, believe me he is very very nice person. He explained and displayed me all different models of sedan, including Sentra & Maxima. After visiting and test driving 4 Nissan dealership in our area, we went to the nissan at north plainfield. we spent half the time we spent in other places, we met with Rich and we was the most friendl our area, we went to the nissan at north plainfield. we spent half the time we spent in other places, we met with Rich and we was the most friendly and courteous of all the sales guys we met during our research. the salesman was very quick to identify our needs with no pushing or pressure, one thing that made us feel very confortable was the fact that we dealt only with one person instead of having 2 and 3 other closers and managers at the other places we went to. Rich truly made our buying experience hassle free and no drama. they offered complemantary oil changes for free for life at no cost, loaners and safety inspections. we most definately recommend North plainfield nissan if you live in the area. try to have Richard Wilhelm to take care of your purchase.! gave them my car to do some body work on the trunk and replace rear glass. the car was returned after a month, the bill was 6000$ with lots of unfinished work and aftermarket parts.there were scratches in replace rear glass. the car was returned after a month, the bill was 6000$ with lots of unfinished work and aftermarket parts.there were scratches in 4 places on the hood which they gave me a big hassel to fix and i still have one more to go. every time i went there i was given bad attitude, no one ever called to follow up on anything or the quality of the service. soon after i got the car , the turnk started taking in water because the tail light was loose, and now my new 2011 car stinks like xxxx.. basically they dont do a good job, they use after market parts and they dont pay attention to details. bunch of thiefs no less !! I took my 2009 Armada for service the end of March. I left it there on Friday and was picking it up on Tuesday since I was going to be away for a few days. Big mistake !!! I needed them to look at the two back windows that go up very slow and sometimes gets stuck and that didn't get fixed. They said the grease it and it still goes slow and makes noise that wasn't there before. I wanted them to fix a noise that the truck was making when I went over bumps and they did but he said it was not covered under warranty. They also replaced a belt that was making noise in the mornings. I told them that the wiper didn't want to go down all the way and they charged me $50 for an adjustment. When I got back on Tuesday I went to pick up the truck and it was not completed so they have me a loaner car for a few hours. They called me and tried telling me I needed to do a bunch of other things to the truck but ia don't trust what they day so I take it to my cousin which is a mechanic to verify I need those things done to my truck. Later that afternoon I picked up the truck and took it home but I noticed that the plastic vents where the wipers sit is all faded. I know my truck and I know that was not like that when I dropped it off. I took it back to the dealer and showed the service guy and he said he has not need to switch it and it was like that. Someone there switched it and I don't trust this service center and will never go again. More
