Very professional dealership with great customer service. I went in for an oil change and to have the tires rotated, and they suggested not rotating the tires due to even wear front and rear. I took my Rubicon Unlimited to the Mopar Express Lane for an oil change and tire rotation. The technician drove my jeep into a tool box then the concrete shop wall damaging the front of my jeep. The servic an oil change and tire rotation. The technician drove my jeep into a tool box then the concrete shop wall damaging the front of my jeep. The service department replaced the bumper skin, bumper, support brackets, and oil cooler. The Collison into the concrete wall also damaged my alignment and bent the front axle tube. The service manager, Jacob Todd, said that crashing my jeep into the wall did not bend the front Dana 44 axle and that I must have hit a "pot hole" The jeep has never been in an accident, taken off road, or hit a pot hole. Jacob further told me that if the axle was a cheap repair like $100 they would fix it. I then tried to have the bent front axle tube covered under their MOPAR Max Care Extended Warranty. Jacob said that he would not cover bent axle tube under Max Care because "You must have hit a pot hole". I did not hit an imaginary pot hole. If a pot hole would bend a Dana 44 front axle tube then it must be defective which would be covered under the Max Care Warranty. I have forwarded my email chain all the way up to Kevin Lawyer, General Manager. Kevin replied stating that he would look into the situation and get back with me in September, 2021. I sent a second email on 10/3/2021 and I have not received a reply back from Kevin Lawyer. This has been ongoing for almost a year. The below is my email to Jacob Todd, Service manager on 09/07/21. 09/07/2021 Good morning Jacob, Per our last conversation on 08/11/2021 when the Wrangler had the alignment worked on for the 2nd time, you told me that you would be calling me back with information on how my jeep was going to be fixed. As of today, I have not received any communication from you or the dealership. On 02/11//2021, Olathe DCJ serviced my 2014 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited with 55,204 miles which was serviced at your Mopar Express Lane for an oil change and tire rotation invoice 791622. Your technician drove my Wrangler into a tool box then a concrete wall. I was sitting in the customer lounge when the wall shook from the impact and was heard by everyone in the room. A few minutes later the Express Lane manager came into the lounge stating that the technician accidentally drove my Wrangler into a tool box then the shop wall. The Express Lane manager promised me that my Wrangler would be fixed and restored to its pristine condition prior to the accident. Since the initial collision, I have had my Jeep into your shop at least five times for repairs attempting to fix and correct the damage from the collision. Invoices: 791622, 802551, 807529, and 817408. The Wrangler is my Sunday driving Mall Crawler. The Wrangler is not driven very much as is evident with the low mileage for the 8 year old vehicle and the vehicles condition. I am just like 95% of Johnson County, Kansas Wrangler owners. I have a Mall Crawler with quality tires and wheels because it looks good. I do not take my jeep off road. This is clearly visible by the overall condition of the paint, the undercarriage, the condition of the wheels and tires, and the condition of the interior. My vehicle does not have scratches in the paint, scratches on the frame, scratches on the axles, or leaves and branches in the interior. During the collision in the Express Lane numerous parts were damaged on the jeep such as the bumper skin, bumper, bumper support brackets, oil cooler, and front axle. As of today's date, all of the aforementioned items have been fixed/corrected except for the bent front axle. Per Burks, head mechanic, the front axle tube is slightly bent which is preventing the Jeep from being properly aligned and making it pull hard drivers side. At 70 mph, the Wrangler will switch lanes moving left in 3 seconds and drive across two entire lanes in 6 seconds. I am the original and sole owner of the Jeep. I have had all maintenance and repairs on the Wrangler performed at Olathe DCJ. Per your records, I have never had any alignment problems on the vehicle before the damage the Jeep received while in the care of your service department. On 08/10/2021, I brought my Jeep for service to Olathe DCJ for repairs from the collision that occurred inside the Express Lane. Since the Accident, the Wrangler has continued to pull towards the drivers side which has Not been corrected. During this visit, I paid for the Wrangler to have an oil change, tire rotation, and alignment. The mechanic, Pedro, performed the alignment on Wrangler. Upon leaving the dealership parking lot my anti-lock brake warning light came on, the steering wheel was turned 45 degrees towards the drivers side to keep the wheels straight, and pulled even harder towards the drivers side. I called service while driving to my house. Service stated that they could not look at my jeep by closing today and to bring it in to the shop the next day. On 08/11/2021, per Burks, mechanic, he stated that “Pedro totally xxxxed up your alignment” and he would have to start from scratch beginning with fixing the steering wheel positioning which caused the anti-lock brakes to fail. Upon further inspection of the Wrangler, he said that the front axle tube is slightly bent. The bent axle is preventing the Wrangler from being aligned. He corrected the alignment to the best of his ability but stated that the Wrangler still pulls to the drivers side. The Wrangler is currently pulling harder towards the drivers side compared to the original collision in the Express Lane and is worse to drive. On 08/11/2021 after Burks attempted to correct the alignment, you came out to the customer lounge to talk to me about fixing my axle and alignment problems. You told me that I must have hit a curb or pot hole with the Wrangler causing damage to the axle. I have neither hit any curb, object, or large pot holes with the Wrangler. You further stated that you have seen vehicles with damaged axles from hitting pot holes. Per my original window sticker, my Jeep is equipped with a Dana 44 front axle. It would take a pot hole as big as the jeep to damage the Dana 44 which would have also severely damaged the entire Jeep. I am beyond frustration with this entire situation which should have been resolved the first time. I was not allowed into the shop to look at my jeep where it was driven into the concrete wall. I am not requesting anything that would not be expected by a customer leaving a vehicle with a dealership for service. I am purely requesting the problem be resolved. If the damage requires a new front axle or any other parts it needs to be fixed and corrected so that this situation can be put to rest. I have purchased two vehicles from your dealership and am a loyal customer. I have recommended friends and family to purchase their vehicles from your dealership until this incident. I would like to be able to continue to send customers to your dealership, but I am losing faith in your dealerships ability to make the customer whole when an unfortunate incident takes place. I would like to believe Olathe DCJ would stand behind their work and their employees. The Wrangler should not pull hard to the drivers side. The Jeep pulls so hard that my wife is scared to drive the Jeep on the highway. I will NOT drive an unsafe vehicle with my wife and children inside the vehicle. Furthermore, I am scared the damage the front axle received rendered the axle housing unsafe. I am requesting Olathe DCJ stand behind their employee that damaged my vehicle and correct the problem to my satisfaction level. Please contact me without delay. I greatly appreciate your attention to this matter. More
The service department is a complete circle jerk! As a customer, I shouldn't have to call daily to find out the status of my truck it should be the service writer calling me. Brian has zero customer servi customer, I shouldn't have to call daily to find out the status of my truck it should be the service writer calling me. Brian has zero customer service skills. He is horrible about telling you that he'll call you back only to leave work early and not call you back for two or three days. He could care less if your vehicle is being worked on or stuck out in the lot. He acts like you're bothering him if you call in to find out what is going on with your vehicle. Jacob Todd was helpful with getting some of the issues resolved. More
