Great people, excellent buying experience I didn’t plan to go to Martin Nissan, as it is a bit far from my house. But the day I’ve planned to visit some dealer in my area, plans changed and I I didn’t plan to go to Martin Nissan, as it is a bit far from my house. But the day I’ve planned to visit some dealer in my area, plans changed and I had to drive my wife to Skokie. So, being in that area and google showing me Martin Nissan as closest dealership, made me go there. And I’m so glad it happened as that visit, and people I’ve worked with there, became some sort of measuring bar for me when I was visiting other places. I was in the marked for a 3 row SUV for my family. Among car I’ve considered were Nissan Pathfinder, Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot and Mazda CX-9. And I did drove every one of them. And only at Martin Nissan they were give me test cars with no additional questions and no hassle. And they did it 3 times (I wasn’t able to make my decision about the color and trim) including an extended test drive when I had a car for 2 days. I worked with James Culpepper as my sales consultant. This guys is great. Absolutely not “pushy” as usual sales man would be. He didn’t just want to sell me the car and forget about my existence next day. He listened to me, and tried to always give me what I was looking for. And when I was saying that I need this car in this color and trim – he would get it to me, and upon my arrival to the dealership I was able to see the car parked and waiting for me already. Simple yes? But to my surprise not everyone did that in other dealerships. When it came to price negotiation – the process went smooth. He didn’t try to advertise how great the car is and he is already giving awesome discount that I wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. No, sales crap at all. Conversation was reasonable and after several trips to his manager we’ve settled on the price, which was good enough that I was able to afford buying slightly more expensive car. Special thanks to Sam – their financial manager. After we’ve agreed on the price and I’ve sign the papers it was already past 8 PM. But she was more than happy to assist with financing my new purchase, even though it was end of their day. Kind enough, she explained everything to me and showed all the options to choose from. For the person who was buying brand new car with financing for the first time it was really helpful. She did go over some additional thing I can buy, but was not pushy at all and didn’t try to make me buy those. I’ve told her that I’m looking for low monthly payments and she honored it. I have to admit I was not prepared to leave the dealership with the new car that day as I was sure the process would take much longer (and it was already closer to end of the day when i walked in). I didn’t even bring down payment that day (had to return next day with cashier’s check which was fine as I was picking up my old car anyway). But everyone stayed longer, were supper polite and happy for my new purchase – 2017 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum in Minding Black edition. When I came in James let me test ride the car I liked, gave us a good deal on our trade in car which wasn't in the best of shape and we would out a price which I was very satisfied with in the end. Other dealers would take hours to even get a price and then if they can't meet your demand you leave empty handed but for the better. This place Martin Nissan is great, James listened to what I had to say and we worked out a deal and price in the matter on minutes and couldn't be happier. More
