I had a great experience with Jeff Hodge and Andre Rosales. I fell in love with a blue Taos but it took both of them working together to find a package that I could afford. The personnel and policies of Open Road Manhattan are a discredit to the VW and Audi brands. I can honestly say that I've never been treated so poorly or felt so cheated and disrespected. My estimate incre discredit to the VW and Audi brands. I can honestly say that I've never been treated so poorly or felt so cheated and disrespected. My estimate increased by over $1000, it took longer than estimated with no communication about progress, and at the end, they tried to sneak in $300 of undisclosed charges. Amanda Nikolic and Anthony Riccardi have established a new low in what it means to be professional, helpful, kind, courteous, and empathetic. They do, however, excel at being sleazy and smug. More

I brought my VW Tiguan to their service center because my roof was leaking when it rained. I thought I had more time on my warranty but I arrived they informed me that I had a few more months on my warranty roof was leaking when it rained. I thought I had more time on my warranty but I arrived they informed me that I had a few more months on my warranty but it was over the mileage (understandable). They said my best bet was to file a claim with my insurance and I should just have to pay for the diagnostic cost (and my deductible). I started the claim process with insurance while I left the car for the diagnostic test. They ran the car under a shower to find the source of the leak but called to tell me they couldn't find a leak, no water was coming through. I then sent over pictures from the last time in rained showing a huge water stain on my roof and water dripping on the dash. From these pictures they decided that the drains around my sun roof needed to be cleared, and "since insurance was paying for it" the drains should also be replaced. Again, this was after finding nothing from their own ($280) diagnostic test. They then sent a quote of over $4,000 for the repair and replacement of the drains, $3,000 of which was just labor cost. They quoted 12 hours of labor. While I was waiting for a response to the quote from my insurance company something wasn't sitting right with me. The exorbitant cost aside, the representatives use of the phrase "since insurance is paying for it" to justify the replacement of the drains made me think I was being quoted for more work than I needed. Even if my insurance did cover the bulk of the charges, I was still looking at a $500 deductible on top of that diagnostic fee. After a few calls I ended up bringing the car to a mechanic I trusted to get a second opinion. He spent an hour with the car and told me there was nothing wrong with my drains at all, that there were actually cracks in the plastic lining of my sunroof and that was how the water was leaking in. It cost me $250 and two hours of labor (he put a polymer in to seal the cracks). VW was going to charge me $4000 for a problem I didn't have. I know that I can expect higher labor costs and an up sell on services when I bring my car to a dealership service center over a local mechanic, but this was above and beyond. They would have charged me that crazy price and I still would have had a leaky roof! More
Complete Bait Switch advertising by VW. I received several letters, one a month, offering increased price for my car. Finally I took the car in today in response to a letter offering up t I received several letters, one a month, offering increased price for my car. Finally I took the car in today in response to a letter offering up to $24k for my car. A car with only 5k miles per year and in tip top condition. When i went there Andre Rosales offered $17k without any reason except some lame excuse about market crashing...and basically told me to leave when I was mid-sentence "thank you for coming". I understand "upto" doesn't mean full price, but "upto" doesn't also mean a 30% reduction in original offer for no valid reason. Be aware. More
Avoid at all costs. Bought a car and a CNA Preferred Tire Care Contract for tire and wheel which they denied when they had to replace a tire. CNA confirmed the validity of the contract and the Sales Manager Care Contract for tire and wheel which they denied when they had to replace a tire. CNA confirmed the validity of the contract and the Sales Manager Andre Rosales is denying that I have tire coverage, then he argues that the VIN number on the contract is wrong. I will fight it until I get my money back. More
Although my car ended up being totaled in the end I can't thank Liza and the folks at Open Road VW enough. They constantly followed up with my insurer and kept me informed through the process. thank Liza and the folks at Open Road VW enough. By far the worst experience i have had with a dealership service department. Had to bring in for multiple recalls and told them I needed my car by end of the day. I called at 3PM and they told me it wont be service department. Had to bring in for multiple recalls and told them I needed my car by end of the day. I called at 3PM and they told me it wont be ready until 4pm the next day. Admittedly angry I had to have the associate tell me "I understand you are angry" I got a call from the GM Anthony the next day accusing me of cursing out one of the employees and was told to not come back there. 1. I never cursed 2. Anthony should get his facts straight before ripping into anyone let alone a customer 3. Never going back to that horrendous service is probably the easiest one I have ever made More
