This is my second trip to Paramount...on my first trip in Feb. 2011 I bought a 2006 Ford Escape unfortunately it was totaled in an accident in August 2011... :( When the other driver's insurance co. settled Feb. 2011 I bought a 2006 Ford Escape unfortunately it was totaled in an accident in August 2011... :( When the other driver's insurance co. settled...I needed a car! The first place I looked was ParamountKia.com I did find a Mercury Mountaineer that I fell in love with, but it was at the Paramount dealership in Ashville...I called the Hickory dealership and was put in touch with Josh Williams...he was going to make arrangements with Ashville for a driver to go and get the Mountaineer and bring it to Hickory....well, instead of moving the vehicle off sales lot (like they said they would)...they sold it...the night before I was supposed to see it in Hickory.....needless to say I was not very happy.....but...Josh assured me he would find me another SUV......he found a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport on the Paramount Hyundai lot. I saw it...drove it and fell in love with it! We worked out all the details and now the Explorer is in my driveway and I am very happy!! Josh Williams was very nice...very helpful and he felt worse than I did when the Mountaineer got sold out from under us! Still not happy about that.....but I got newer vehicle with less miles and better gas mileage....so I AM happy about that!! More
Darius Bennett was highly professional and extremely knowledgeable about the Mazda3 I eventually bought. He ran through the paperwork without a hitch. I was surprised when he said he had been at Paramount Mazda one month. Everyone at the Hickory site were very helpful. I did however have an extremely bad experience with Jonathan Yount. Jonathan was my original contact with Paramount Valdese. He was late by about 15 minutes to our contact meeting at 8:30 AM on Thursday Sept 1. He was unfamiliar with the Mazda website which made the appointment go very slowly as he tried to print specifications for the car I was interested in. He was obviously very inexperienced. I then went to the Hickory site and met with Kenneth Steward, who was helpful in showing me the stock. I called and made an appointment with Jonathan to drive the car on Saturday, Sept 3 at 11 AM. At 11:15 he had not shown or called and I asked for someone else to assist me. Darius and I were in the car ready to go when Jonathan finally showed up, about 20 minutes late, waving his arms and yelling, "Denise where were you? I've been over at the Kia showroom for 20 minutes." Not "Gee, I'm sorry we missed each other" or at least a believable story. And why would I be at the Kia dealership when the car I was buying was on the Mazda showroom floor? The previous visit with Kenneth was at the Mazda showroom. I was very angry being treated that way. Fortunately Darius had a calm manner and pulled the rest of the visit off without any problems. I'm looking forward to owning my Mazda3. More
Our sales person was Darius Bennett. He is a very friendly person who really has alot of knowledge about the cars he sells. He made us feel at ease about the whole buying process. Our son told us about Paramount Hyundai and told us if we decided on a Hyundai to be sure and ask for Mr. Stewart. He was very pleasant and up front about our interest in the Santa Fe. I found the car I wanted to purchase at a lower price over the internet at your dealership. I made a phone call and was immediately connected with Adam Whitener. First impressions of Adam over the phone were good, I didn't feel like I was pressured in any way. He was very helpful and provided the guidance I needed since this was my first new car purchase. Upon meeting Adam at the dealership he devoted all his time to my needs, and even skipped a few phone calls so that our time was not interrupted. Adam took the time to make sure I fully understood how the process of buying a new car was going to go, and assured me that I could call him at any time with further questions. First off, I don't like having to go to dealerships to buy a car, I don't like haggling and constantly feeling like I have to watch the person I'm working with like a hawk. However, Robbie was very nice, buy a car, I don't like haggling and constantly feeling like I have to watch the person I'm working with like a hawk. However, Robbie was very nice, he was friendly and did try to make the process less stressful. With that said, the Sales Manager (The person who priced my trade) did try to pull a fast one from my stand point and tried to reduce the value of my trade by $2k, thinking I just wouldn't notice. I find that offensive. I almost left instead of purchasing. Also, when I asked about Mazda Loyalty discounts it seems that it got dismissed and I don't think I got anything off the sticker price of the vehicle. So, no, I don't think I got a fabulous deal. However, with my personality, I find Robbie's friendliness and interest in being pleasant outweighed my agitation. My last Mazda purchase was from Harrelson, and they really had me ticked off, so much so in fact, that it has taken me 10 yrs to look at another Mazda, despite the fact that I love my Tribute and still own it. In the end, I would recommend Robbie again as a sales person but would definately warn people to price thier own trade before showing up. Kenneth was very helpful, professional and friendly. I had been researching the sub-compact catagory for several weeks looking at all in the catagory from the Fiesta to the Fit. While I was impressed with the new styling of the Accent, it was the gas mileage and value that promted me to look harder at this vehicle. There was no inventory in my hometown of Asheville so I had to look in the surrounding area. I happened to be traveling through Hickory so I requested a quote from dealers in the area via the internet and Kenneth responded. We met the following day, went for a test drive and closed the deal. Kenneth's and Chris' willingness to work with me on price was a key factor in my decision to purchase from this dealership. I got the price I wanted, the dealer got a fair price for the car and I received excellent service from Kenneth. In my opinion this was a "win win" transaction and I would recommend Paramount and Kenneth to anyone. More
I came into Paramount Hyundai ready to buy a new Hyundai Elantra. I had been to several dealers in Raleigh, where I live, but NONE of them gave me the customer service that Peter Collins at Paramount in Hi Elantra. I had been to several dealers in Raleigh, where I live, but NONE of them gave me the customer service that Peter Collins at Paramount in Hickory did; it seemed I was just a number to them. By the time I got to Paramount, I had done enough research to know what I wanted and I had already told Peter and the staff at Paramount what I wanted. When I got there, I didn't have to answer all the questions they had asked a second time, which was very refreshing. Because I live in Raleigh and had to wait for an Elantra to come in, they even delivered it to me so I wouldn't have to make an extra trip back to Hickory. Their finance manager, KC Langenstein, gave me multiple finance options and answered all my questions. When my Elantra finally came in, he called me the evening before to go over what I would need to sign and provide at the closing. Not only that, but once all the papers were signed, he even took care of getting my insurance transferred over. All in all, Peter and the staff at Paramount Hyundai know how to build a relationship. Not only do they treat you like family, provide the best customer service I've ever experienced in a car dealer, but they also give you a fair deal. More
