From the outset, as we began to consider a vehicle to replace our previous 2002 Volvo S-80, we knew we wanted to do so with another Volvo. The previous S-80, although not new, had given us excellent serv replace our previous 2002 Volvo S-80, we knew we wanted to do so with another Volvo. The previous S-80, although not new, had given us excellent service and was a very comfortable ride. The safety ratings had drawn me to the Volvo in the first place, and that was a very important feature since my wife is the primary daily driver of the vehicle. When Paramount closed in Hickory it became necessary to search out of town for service and other attention on the 2002 automobile. As we searched for our new one, we looked at several dealerships in Charlotte and Winston Salem. When we visited Paramount we were greeted by Ned Owens who rendered not only an exceptional knowledge of the automobile, but also was very patient, pleasant to work with, respectful of our interests and concerns, and not at all forceful in an attempt to coerce us into a hasty decision. He subsequently introduced us to Mr. Spradlin, who was equally cordial and friendly not just in an attempt to "make a sale", but genuinely sincere. Mr Owens took us for a demonstration ride explaining every aspect of the vehicle; it was amazing to me that he really knew all the features of the car so thoroughly. When we considered our shopping experience with a dealership we were leaning toward in Winston Salem, we were much more pleased here, even with an offer from that dealership to deliver a "loaner" to us here anytime we had a problem. That was the magnitude of the impression that our experience at Paramount had on us. Since that time, every subsequent return for service has reflected the very same refreshing, courteous, and helpful response from everyone, in addition to an offer of a vehicle to use while mine was being "cared for". Overall, however, the factor that was more revealing than anything else about the dealership came during a conversation with Ned. I mentioned something about how God had blessed us over the years, which led us into a conversation about our Christian walk. Ned proceeded to share about the Christian manner in which Paramount is operated, and even gave me a copy of the book,"The Richest Man Who Ever Lived", and explained that it is mandatory reading for employees. That revealed to me the foundation of this business, and that I could expect to be dealt with fairly, honestly, and reputably in the future. It has only been 22,000 miles, but I anticipate the same manner of service in the future, at least as long as the current ownership and employees are in place. Thank you. My wife and I have purchased almost 6 different cars between the two of us in the last 12 years, and I must say this has definitely been the easiest one so far. The sales staff never made us feel press between the two of us in the last 12 years, and I must say this has definitely been the easiest one so far. The sales staff never made us feel pressured or like we were on an assembly line. As soon as we walked in the door it was so refreshingly different from any other car purchase we have experienced I was a bit floored.
