Absolutely terrible experience with these guys. I was warned they were bad by coworkers. Funny thing is they killed a deal over a $350 fee, but I am one of those people who believes in standing up on warned they were bad by coworkers. Wanted to buy a CPO BMW 128i, went on BMW's website and saw the they had a few. The prices on the website were similar to the others guys. After the test drive, I sat down with Jesse I asked for the best they could do on the car. Cash price, no trade in, financing, no fees, etc. He asked his manager and they knocked 800 off the web site's price. He wrote the number on the paper and stated and "and Nothing else, only tax and registration, no fees." I clarified, just what I pay to the state, no documentation fees, right?" He replied yes. Anyway I took his paperwork and told him I was going to look at a car at another dealership, and would make my decision the next day. The other dealership had leftover current model years demo's at prices just a few dollars more than the 2 year CPO, but despite this I was only able to get another $250 off from Park Ave. They kept telling me I was getting the best deal the country etc.. Yeah sure, its late fall and I'm buying a convertible, this car isn't flying off your lot. Figured what the xxxx and asked Jesse to total it up. They added a $350 paperwork fee. I emailed back and reminded Jesse he stated no fee, he refused and stated they would not remove it no matter what. These fees are pure profit to the dealer, 15 minutes of paperwork should not cost $350. Since I was lied too, Jesse ducked my phone call until I asked to speak to his manager Absolutely terrible experience with these guys. He was adamant that there was no way he could take it off, even if he bought a car from he would have to pay it. I asked to speak to his manager, and John Cavanaugh got on the phone. He kept telling me it was best deal in the country, the fee is the fee and is never removed. When I held my ground he started yelling at me. Like screaming into the phone. I had to hang up. I couldn't believe the nastiness there, it was like to had to get me to surrender to him. I get the feeling he is a little man who resents the success his costumers' achieved, while he will never be more the used car manager at car dealer. Our town has a BMW dealer, 5 minutes from where I live, but I decided to go extra miles to Park Ave BMW due to their excellent customer ratings I found online. She picked the right car for me, walked me through the features and more importantly, offered me a great price. Once I decided to buy, she was able to get paperwork done within twenty minutes! This was one of the best car buying experience that I have ever had till now. Brett was simply awesome. Brett ensured he was upfront with me and he did not have any surprises (I mean bad surprises). Everything was done on the phone and via email, I just had to spend about 40 minutes at the dealership to get my new X5. Roger was great in explaining the extras that I could add to my lease but never pushed me into getting any of those. On the whole, ParkAve is a great place to get your new BMW and I strongly recommend you get in touch with these folks if you are in the market for a BMW. More
