Encore Visit I was early for my appointment and was warmly and politely greeted by Andrew or Alex, I think his last name was Gonzalez. Once I told him I was 30 mi I was early for my appointment and was warmly and politely greeted by Andrew or Alex, I think his last name was Gonzalez. Once I told him I was 30 minutes early and that this was my first service visit, he immediately found the paperwork. He'd initially told me a visit took about an hour; once he found out it was the inspection/Encore visit, he said it would be 30 mintues tops. He walked me inside. A nice manager (maybe named Mark) came to say hello, explain that Cathy was in a training, and that he'd go get her. Alex (or Andrew) was also with me at that time. We made small talk as I got some coffee. He'd already found someone who worked in the garage and asked them to start working on my car. Cathy came down briefly and said hi, but she also told Andrew (or Alex) to call her cell when the car was ready because she was in a training. That made sense to me; I was 30 minutes early. However, when we did call her closer to 3 (my appointment time was from 3 to 3:30), she said she was with another customer and seemed annoyed that Alex or Andrew couldn't just show me himself the features of the car that I hadn't yet figured out. That seemed strange, since we'd specifically made an Encore appointment at at time she'd be free: 3:00 tp 3:30. Plus, if she were finished with the training, why did the other customer (who'd just walked in, presumably) take precedence over our pre-exisitng appointment? After all, I'd driven in from Pennsylvania for this service appointment. Cathy did ask how I liked the vehcile. She said it was nice to see me again. And she did show me a few features on the car that were unclear to me (such as how to set up the second key and what some of the mystery buttons on the steering wheel meant). I had to say that she seemed more interested in showing Andrew or Alex how to do it so that, next time, he could take care of it by himself instead of involving her. Again, since she said she'd be available when we made the Encore appointment, I was somewhat taken aback by her seeming impatience at having to be there. In short, the experience with everyone who worked in the garage was great. The manager (again, I believe his name was Mark) was disarmingly funny and charming. Alex or Andrew could not have been more attentive and polite. The wait was short. And I want to emphasize that Cathy was great during the sales process itself. More

The difference in professionalism, attitude and customer service was startling. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and taken care of immediately. Rich reviewed the reason for my visit, and told me that he would take care of it right away and get me out. He was true to his word, unlike my experiences in Morristown where I would sit for hours for a routine, scheduled service which I made an appointment for and was not communicated to, as well as treated like I was bothering them instead of a valued customer. Even though it was my first visit, Rich treated me like a longtime customer, replaced my wiper blades at no charge, and got me on my way ahead of schedule. I told Rich that after my experience at Morristown, I was ready to give up on BMW, given this is my second BMW, but based on my experience with him I would be ready to consider another BMW. I told him even though it is a 30 minute ride from my home, I would only come to Paul Miller, and Rich, for any future service needs and to purchase another BMW. Thanks Rich for restoring my faith in a service manager who is honest, friendly, follows through and cares about his customers. More

He was courteous, thorough, professional and understanding. THEY EVALUATED THE PROBLEM and determined that another issue also required attention.
