When they're good, they're very good. My wife and I purchased our 1st Subaru, a 2015 Forester with 46,000 miles originally purchased and serviced from this dealership in January 2020. It h My wife and I purchased our 1st Subaru, a 2015 Forester with 46,000 miles originally purchased and serviced from this dealership in January 2020. It has been in for service 7 times since then. Repairs have been simple to very complicated: Turbo blew hose off, replaced/repaired followed by the Turbo having a catastrophic failure, Transmission leaking, had to remove it to repair it, then it was overfilled causing a slamming shifting problem, Windshield wiper reservoir sensor failed and entire unit required replacement. Car was returned with exterior door fascia unattached and a miracle it didn't blow off on the ride home. Car was returned with grease on the steering wheel. Car was returned dirtier (by far) than it was when we brought it in. Is it just the car we purchased? Bad luck? We have put more miles on the loaner carS from February to May than the car we purchased because it was in the service area so many times for so long .I can say that the service department is at best - inconsistent. Personnel and Management is always accommodating and seeking to please the customer. Major repairs seem to be all worked out - for now, But the errors and problems cause us to wonder: "is the car going to be OK today"? Will I return for service? - yes, they really try pretty hard to get it right, and until I can decide one way or the other they will be my Service Department. More
Recall to replace fuel pump We live 1 1/2 round trip (minimum) from this dealership. We visited them when we were looking at vehicles and became interested in the 2019 Ascent. We continue to bring our vehicle back to them because of the service center. We brought it in this time due to a Subaru recall for the fuel pump. Cory Fox was excellent to work with and Robert Frantz replaced and tested the fuel pump in a unbelievable short amount of time. More

Positive Experience with Bob & George at Peoria Subaru We were in the market for a new car, and Subaru was at the top of the list. We were trying to narrow it down between three Subaru options, a Toyota R We were in the market for a new car, and Subaru was at the top of the list. We were trying to narrow it down between three Subaru options, a Toyota Rav4, or a certified pre-owned Acura RDX or Lexus RX350. We used the Costco Auto buying program and were directed to Bot Shotwell at Peoria Subaru. Bob knows his Subarus. He was helpful with explaining the features and differences between the models we were considering, and did this in a no pressure sales environment. At the same time, these folks went above and beyond to make the deal work for our family. There were no hassles, none of this crazy back/forth haggling for hours on end that traditionally accompanies a new car purchase. We made an appointment, test drove a couple of cars, received the pricing and a fair offer for our trade in, and agreed to the deal. In the past, we have seen numbers change or be manipulated once we are in a dealer's finance room to sign. Not with the Costco Auto Program through Peoria Subaru. Everything was above board, the numbers we agreed to didn't change, and we signed documents in about 10 minutes, which was substantially faster than we normally would prefer, but necessary due to the curfew and police presence because of expected protests in the area. Normally, I would thoroughly inspect every document and ask a LOT of questions. But something about George, Bob, and the deal seemed trustworthy and we felt confident signing quickly. The next day, George in Finance contacted us and had managed to get a much lower finance rate approved, so we came in and signed again. We sincerely appreciate his diligent efforts on our behalf. With the savings, we purchased a discounted extended warranty for our new 2020 Forester! We are very happy with the experience, with this fantastic new car, and will look to Bob, George, and Peoria Subaru again in the future! More
