Service Center- Can't fix sliding door issues. I've had my van for 1 year. Love the van, except the clunk that often occurs in the passenger sliding door. I made the service center aware of the iss I've had my van for 1 year. Love the van, except the clunk that often occurs in the passenger sliding door. I made the service center aware of the issue and requested they fix it at our 5,000 mile Toyota Care Service. They "couldn't duplicate it" even though it happens 1 in every 10 or so open/close actuation. They asked us to wait till the next Toyota Care Service to let it get worse so they can duplicate it and know what to fix. So we just had our 10,000 mile service, and now the door clunks about 1 in 8 actuation. They "couldn't duplicate it" yet again. So rather than request more time with the van, open up the door and find the issue, they stated once again - Wait till your next service, if it we can duplicate it then we can fix it. - This is the path to out of warranty repairs with huge costs on a vehicle we only just paid well over 30k for. I'm not impressed. For those who know what trouble shooting is, yes - duplication is 1 of many steps, but with intermittent issues, you sometimes have to be proactive and actually look into it - as in, open the door up, inspect the motor, change out the motor and cables, lubricate the sliding rails - any number of pro-active things that say - my warranty is doing what it is supposed to do. They have done nothing but change the oil, rotate the tires, and tell me to wait for it to get worse. I hope I didn't just buy another Chevy. More

They were able to accommodate me quickly and completed my service in just over 30 minutes (including a car I came in early for my 5,000 mile service. They were courteous, restated what I wanted done (as this was a 50,000 mile service), and escorted me into the waiting area., Upon completion of the service, I was given an invoice and an explanation as to services performed. The car was washed and delivered in tip top shape in about an hour. We have come to rely on Peterson motors for service for our Prius (which we bought there) as they have never failed to deliver exquisite care for our car and us. They rate an A+ in our opinion. More
