Looked at a used 13 Odyssey. 97k they were asking $16495. Price was high for miles in my opinion. My salesman was very helpful and professional. They use a desking system. First offer he came back with the car priced at 17500 and a fake discount to 16500 and below kkb offer on my trade of 7000. Dealerships lobbied the state and they all got a doc fee. $400. This is pure dealer profit!!. They say it's for paper work but it becomes a non negotiable number. The bottom line was 10500 I made an offer of 8500 out the door. Salesman goes back to the desk comes back 500 more for trade and 5000 off their car. I still felt they were low balling my trade. They let me walk and never once did a manager come out of his hole to speak with me. I had my title and cash to buy. They seemed some what arrogant in the fact that's it. I was making a fair offer and I knew they were making profit as every car is packed at least 4 to 5k. I would not recommend them as I felt they are way over pricing the cars. Covid greed in the auto industry. When the chips become available dealers will be buried in these cars. No knock on my salesman Theo very nice man. More
