Don't waste your time Went in for my first service. Made an appt in advance for what amounted to an oil change with tire rotation. A 15-20 minute service. Was told when Went in for my first service. It was later in the afternoon so most of the early services should have been done. I have never had to wait more than 1/2 hr at any place I've gone to for an oil change. When I asked why the wait was told the service would take an hour!!! It may be a "free" service as part of my purchasing the car there, but would rather pay and save my time. I will not be going back for any other services. More

I'm an architect with 780 credit score who runs 2 businesses each with there own small fleet of vehicles. When I needed to replace one I tried the TruCar website. What Planet Honda does is it buys (or is given) my contact information from trucar and sends me a quote for a vehicle in writing (via email but NOT via a certificate through the website) that they don't intend to actually meet. It's likely far below invoice but they will tell you anything just to get you in the door. I called to ask about hidden fees and was of course lied to. Yasmeen yelled at me and tried to give lecture me on some made-up law that says that I'm not allowed to send in my financial application via email so that they could prepare a contract and quote me a percentage rate for my corporate purchase. Obviously not true since this is done every day when you apply for a credit card by mail or by phone. She also pointed me towards their own online trade-in appraisal calculator that told me that they would give me $2,500-4,300 for my trade in. This is right from their website. Anyway, I cam in and all was a sham. They offered me $300 for my trade. They never intended to honor the emailed price since after that they want to add all these dealer options that you can't refuse such as window etching and nitro air for your tires (another $1,000). All a sham. More

He was pleasant to work with. He has a great sense of humor, very attentive, knowledgeable. Along with him, Diana, his protege whom also was nice and knowledgeable and Chigbo whom I leased my very first car with and he has gotten promoted to sales manager since then due to his great work ethic. If you ever need to lease or finance a car, speak to no one else but these 3 people. More

Pathetic - Horrible experience It is not a fluke that in recent months Planet Honda is abashed across internet with one star. I was skeptical but, I gave them the benefit of doubt ( It is not a fluke that in recent months Planet Honda is abashed across internet with one star. I was skeptical but, I gave them the benefit of doubt (It's Honda after all, how bad can they get!). Their bait of low pricing (which was just another lie!), was lucrative enough for me to walk into their showroom. Dealing with Planet Honda was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life. I would like to call out that I am not a person who gets easily bogged down. I have dealt with tons of unpleasant situations in my life, but this was nothing close. I was threatened, bullied and even made to feel as a hostage in their showroom!! If that was not enough, they insulted my friend and my wife. Long story short - I was FORCED to lease a Honda CRV from them in May’16. They refused to pay back my initial deposit of $3000 leaving me with no choice other than xxxxxxx it up and finalize the deal. Every car transaction is different and hence no point trying to parse out the individual details of what happened to me however to ensure that customers like you do not go through such an ordeal, let me pen down the key points of my experience: 1. Advertise a package that they never plan to give a. What you see in the advertisement is nowhere where they even start. In fact the sales person does not even try to check whether you are eligible. My saleperson ‘Immany’ on the face mentioned that ‘no one’ gets these deal. So let’s start with something practical. You tell yourself I travelled 20 miles for this xxxx. b. So bad is their reputation that not long back NJ Attorney Journal filed a suit against Planet Honda for multiple violations of the state’s Consumer Fraud Act. 2. Force you to accept their conditions a. Key learning for me, never ever take the vehicle out of their premise, before you have the financial paper documents signed. I did the biggest blunder of doing that. And when I returned with my documents they said that Honda has changed your clause and hence we would have to increase your monthly lease by 16%. b. Don’t take my words, google and you will find the undoctored reviews 3. Extremely rude behavior to the extent of threatening a. I can understand that things/ deals may change sometimes however there is a way of communicating it and trying to work around it. When I tried to see how we can work around the new developments so none of us lose money because of this change, they simply passed their oversight on me and said that I have to go ahead with the 16% increase. They can't help me in anyways. b. When I ask them time to decide, they mention that ‘We cannot let you leave this premise with our car’. If you want to go, we can drop you at the next bus stop c. They made my wife and 4 yr old son come down to the showroom (we have only one car in the family so they had to take a hitch). Planet Honda asked for her documents at 7.30pm, she was in showroom at 8.15pm. Once she got in, they refused to process the papers saying that the Finance dept is now closed (didn’t they know that at 7.30!?!?). My wife demanded why they asked her to come if the finance dept shuts off, they looked down upon her and smiled sarcastically. Not even a word of apology. It was extremely agonizing. d. When my friend, tried to make some middle ground between us, they shouted at him ‘Who are you. I will throw you out of this dealership right now’!! We were shocked at their language at audacity to bully their customers. 4. Lie on the face a. I am pretty detailed in my car purchases and have spoken to atleast 10 Car dealers in the past. I know that Car salesman are tough nuts to crack however most of them are not dishonest and bad people. The problem with Planet Honda is that some of their team members are extremely dishonest cheaters. Beware if you ever get to meet a sales manager named ‘Sal’. I would say he was 90% of my problem. b. One of the examples - Sal gives me an option of exiting the lease and tells me that I have to decide before the end of the day. I spend the whole day seeing how will I arrange for my travel if I have to handover my car that night and when I come back in in the evening loaning my friends car for a few days, he tells me that I no longer can exit the lease and would have to forfeit my complete advance ($ 3000). What a waste and that too he tries to play around with words pretending that he is a smart xxx. 5. Unprofessional service – 0% customer orientation a. Would ask you to come down multiple times. Once to drop your paper, once to drop your wife’s paper, once to confirm your documentation etc. b. They even forcefully kept one key of my car till the time I did not sign the final financial papers 6. Personal derogatory comments: This is finally what got me off. Being an immigrant is tough particularly when you have to go through so many documentation and processes. And then you have people like Sal who says it on your face – ‘I did not tell you to come to US’. I was shocked and was furious but had to control myself. But if you have a temporary immigrant status like me do not ever go to Planet Honda. They know that you are tight handed and would not leave any stone in exploiting you. If you are reading this, please stay away from Planet Honda. Please heed to others' experiences and don’t give them the benefit of doubt, like I did. They are not worth your time or money! More
