The service manager/Associate was very helpful and thoughtful. Walk with my kids and also had two vehicles coming for service. My experience with Planet Honda was a textbook example of why people hate dealing with car dealerships. For nearly two months, I asked for one basic thing on a specific CR-V: the written itemized out-the- why people hate dealing with car dealerships. For nearly two months, I asked for one basic thing on a specific CR-V: the written itemized out-the-door breakdown. Not a sales pitch. Not “come in and we’ll talk.” Not repeated phone calls. Just the actual numbers in writing. Instead, I got passed around between multiple employees, including Andrea, Jasmine, Frankie, and eventually Ed. I received repeated promises that someone would get back to me “shortly” or “ASAP,” but nobody followed through in a professional way. I was sent vague quote pages instead of an actual buyer’s order, and the conversation kept getting steered toward calls and in-person visits rather than simply answering the question directly. Eventually, after all the runaround, they texted me a flat $41,000 out-the-door price. But even then, they still refused to provide the actual itemized buyer’s order or worksheet showing the VIN and full breakdown before requiring me to come in. When I continued asking for the deal to be put on paper properly, management chose to focus on my “tone” rather than on the dealership’s own two months of delays, handoffs, and failure to execute a basic request. That is not professionalism. That is polite incompetence at best. If Planet Honda cannot provide a simple written pricing breakdown without turning it into a drawn-out circus, I would think very carefully before trusting them with the rest of a purchase or lease deal.
