I left a deposit of $1,000 for a 2014 Honda CR-V EX-L with Navi and came back with my wife Carol on Monday evening to close the transaction and drive it home. That all took place without any problems. Augustin gathered some basic information and prepared several forms for Carol's signature before taking us to Jason Trotte to finance the SUV with a loan from Honda Financial. Jason did an excellent job of presenting and explaining all of the relevant aspects of the loan and other related information. From there we went outside and Augustin explained in detail a number of key functions of the CR-V. By that time we were ready to head home with our brand new Honda CR-V. Bait and switch!!! We attempted to purchase a used vehicle. We would be paying cash so a deal was made very fairly. We gave them our bank card for our deposit. Dealer came back and said the bank machine was not working. We signed a waiver giving them permission to use the number when the machine was operational. Told them we would be in contact with them because we were waiting on a check and for it to clear. About a week later the check cleared and my husband called for the exact amount of the balance so we could come by with a cashiers check. At this time, we were told the car had to go back to auction because there was a problem with the title. The car fax said the title was cleared and in order for them to have the car on the lot, their had to of been a title. We asked why we were not notified we were told the salesperson must have forgot. We also realized they never charged the card for the deposit. Talking with other dealers they told us that most likely someone waniting to finance came in after us and it was sold to them. A dealer stands to make more money financing then paying cash. More
