This is more about a salesperson in this dealership than the dealership itself. the review of a dealership; but that of a special person who should be recognized as the car salesperson of the year! So, roughly 13.7 million new cars have been sold in the US every year, in recent years. Yet, the focus of dealerships remain in hooking the customers and getting them to sign the contract. Despite the volume and interest, customer service after this stage remains dismal at best. I have bought more than 10 cars over last twenty years for myself and my family members and the amount of time I spend at the dealership is still ridiculous. Last time I purchased a car from Lexus dealership, my family and I were served two meals before driving out with our new car. Focus on attracting customers and signing the contract is priority 1. Quality of service in getting the car out of the lot after that has remained dismal for the past who knows how many years. there is every once in a life time that us car buyers come in contact with a salesperson who stands feet taller than any of her/his kind seen before. Marylin Baroud is one of them! Marylin picked up my internet inquiry within minutes and was on the phone with me almost immediately after that. She gathered all the information and provided me with multiple inventory options the next day. None of these options manifested themselves in previous dealership contacts both in state or out of state. Later on, she again came to my rescue when I decided to change the vehicle configuration and go with a different build. Again, within matter of hours I had different choices to review. She finally found me a car I could not say no to; Surprisingly at a lower price than the manufacturer MSRP. I hope Marilyn's manager has recognized the extent of her reach and her power to get things done. From the beginning to the time I got the car in my garage, she was influential in all steps. She oversaw vehicle exchange from a different dealership, transporting, finance, etc. She talked to everyone. Sometimes I could hear her on the phone walking from one office to another talking to people real time asking them and instructing them while she had me on the phone. At some point, she stopped texting me and started calling me for real time resolution of disconnects. It really felt like she was the boss orchestrating the process step by step. The number of stars I gave to this dealership is really because of Marilyn. I do not have a perspective of the performance of the dealership aside from interaction with Marilyn. I have had interaction with other dealerships and decided to abandon those relationships. As for this particular dealership, I did not feel people were working in unison to close this deal and hence the need for Marilyn's intervention. She gets SIX stars, hands down. Her involvement was the reason for me not needing to make any compromise. She is very special and I thank her dearly for her being there for me every step. I did not know her and she did not know me prior to this encounter. Yet, we quickly came to the point to implicitly trust each other through the process. that is priceless. I will be back next year for another car and she better be there! More
