POTAMKIN MIAMI LAKES IS INCOMPETENT David, my salesperson was excellent. But the rest of my experience with Potamkin has been miserable. I leased the vehicle on 2/23 and the vehicle wa David, my salesperson was excellent. But the rest of my experience with Potamkin has been miserable. I leased the vehicle on 2/23 and the vehicle was delivered to my home on 2/24 by David. I signed the lease agreement in my kitchen. A few days later, David called and apologized and said that we needed to sign the contract again. There had been a mistake on their end. David came out again and we met in my kitchen and I signed a second contract. A few days later, David contacted me again. He apologized and said that they made another error in the contract and I had to sign a third contract. This was getting ridiculous; it was totally unprofessional. I did not have time for this incompetence on the dealer's part. David again came to my home and met me in my kitchen. I signed a third contract. Things got worse. I had traded in a 2014 Genesis at the end of the 35th month of a 36 month lease. Potamkin agreed to pay the 36th month. The payment was due on 2/28/17. Potamkin never made the payment. How do I know this? Because the collection company for HMF began calling me, nearly daily, asking me for my last payment due to HMF. Every time they called I told them the same thing - that I leased a 2017 Genesis and that Potamkin agreed to make the last payment. They said they did not care and that I needed to make the payment. I called the President of Potamkin Frank Pena to complain. He said he would take care of the problem. He didn't. I took a vacation from 3/18 - 3/25 out of the country. I did not want to be disturbed during what was my first vacation in exactly 12 months. On 3/20, Frank Pena actually called me and left a message on my voicemail saying, and I quote: "Your loan was funded on Monday (3/13) and everything has been processed, so, I hope all is ok ...." It wasn't. Instead I began receiving calls from HMF's collection company as soon as I left town. On 3/21 I received calls at 4:05 pm and 7:40 pm. On 3/22 I was woken up while on vacation with a call at 7:42 am; called again at 10:41 am; and a third time at 4:45 pm. On 3/23, I was again woken up out of my sleep, this time at 8:32 am; and called again at 1:31 pm. When I spoke with "Anthony" at 1:31 pm, (HMF operator #95674), he told me the same thing that every other collector had said. But he added a new twist. The payment was now 23 days past due and in seven days they would report me to the credit reporting agencies causing my credit to be affected adversely. Mind you, I have ZERO debt and a credit score of 870. I immediately called Frank Pena to complain about the seven calls in the past three days. He did not answer. I left a voice mail on 3/23 at 1:43 pm, 12 minutes after receiving the 7th call. He still has not called me back. And today is 3/27. Unbelievable. I then called David my salesperson. He took the call, apologized for what was happening, said he would speak with Frank Pena, and said he would speak with HMF. He later texted me that he had spoken with HMF. Note that every call during this time was an international call costing me money on my cell phone bill. That is time and money that I should not have been forced to spend but for the incompetence of the Potamkin finance people that screwed this deal up from the beginning. The same people that screwed up with the contract three times, also screwed up by not getting the final payment to HMF. This was a horrible experience. The only person that acted professionally throughout this entire ordeal was David, my salesperson. More
