After choosing a vehicle from their online selection and confirming the vehicle price with him via telephone we drove the hour to the dealership and were very surprised by the overall experience we had at Ray's. I sent an email inquiry to Ray Chevy and promptly received a reply followed by a few courtesy phone calls. Holly and Rebecca both came across as having very positive, upbeat and relatable demeanors. They worked together to ask questions and listen carefully to my goals and concerns about buying a vehicle. Their very favorable first impression convinced me that it would be worth my while to drive an hour to the dealership that same afternoon. From the moment my daughter and I arrived at Ray to the moment we left, we were greeted and treated with the utmost respect and courtesy. I was surprised to find out that while I was driving to Fox Lake, Rebecca was working behind the scenes to pair me with the sales rep whose experience and expertise aligned perfectly with my needs. We were delighted to be introduced to undoubtedly the best salesman at Ray Chevrolet, Tony Jensen. Tony was already researching and exploring solutions for me before I arrived. He immediately made me feel relaxed and at ease and assured me that he and the General Sales Manager, Matt Douvikas were well versed on finding a “dream car” with financing that was manageable. I originally had my mind set on purchasing a specific used car on the lot, so Matt and Tony had their work cut out for them. It would have been far less time consuming for them to just sell me the used car, but they knew that it was not the best solution for me. So they sat down with me, asked more questions and patiently presented other alternatives. As it turns out, leasing a car made the most sense, so they went to work to make it happen. Buying or leasing a car takes time no matter who the consumer is and can be taxing, especially if a child is present. Thankfully everyone at the dealership was very “family friendly” offering us popcorn, water and a playroom with its own TV for kids. Tony was especially patient and kind with my daughter. He answered all of her questions and showed her the “backseat bells and whistles” in the car to make her feel like she was a part of the decision making process. We loved the car Tony picked out for us. It was everything we were looking for and more! Most importantly, I knew I could sleep at night knowing that we would be safe in our car and my monthly payments weren’t going to break the bank. Once the decision was made, Tony and Matt focused on expediting the paperwork and getting the car ready. We were introduced to managers in the service, customer service and finance departments then had a demo in our car to setup technology. By that time the dealership was closed, but Tony and his team stayed by our side until we left. This was by far the best experience I have ever had with a dealership. Every step in the process was flawless and executed with courtesy and professionalism. It became quite obvious that this dealership operates as a TEAM and truly cares about their customers.
