Quality Dealer, Honest Salesman...NO Pressure I chose Regal Kia Chevolet on Hwy 98 in Lakeland because my Chevy Malibu lease was upon me and I wanted to get back in a Kia. I called first and Holly I chose Regal Kia Chevolet on Hwy 98 in Lakeland because my Chevy Malibu lease was upon me and I wanted to get back in a Kia. I called first and Holly set things up to where my color choice for the Optima was out front waiting with a Reserved for... sign on the dash. BRIAN GUSE was my salesman and took his time going through the features and then the test drive. I was allowed to drive in "my style" without complaint. Then came time for the "dance", you know, where you really want to leave but really like the car. Brian was extremely honest in presenting the deal, just a bit of negotiating and I ended up with the price I wanted. Brian has served this Country for 25 years in the Air Force and the discipline shows in his honesty and his work ethic. He even offered to clean out my vehicle and transfer to the new one. He was a gentleman and I left almost feeling like a gained a friend. Brian is an asset to Regal and he and Regal deserve an opportunity to be of service. I will tell you I dealt with them on another vehicle some 4 years earlier and this was a totally polar opposite experience from the past. Hope they keep up the great work. More
Buying a new car Greg was very nice very helpful. He demonstrated that he knew what he was doing. He also demonstrated that he knew a lot about the Kia cars. I love my new vehicle being that is my first brand new car a 2017 Kia Forte it rides nice and it was a blessing to be able to work with Greg. I strongly suggest that if you're in the market for a new vehicle that you go see Greg at Regal Kia in Lakeland. More

Bait and switch tactics Found a 2014 Ford Focus through the Sam's Club Auto Buying program that utilizes the TrueValue system. I sent the inquiry asking if the vehicle was a Found a 2014 Ford Focus through the Sam's Club Auto Buying program that utilizes the TrueValue system. I sent the inquiry asking if the vehicle was available. I was contacted by Brook. I explained that I would be buying this from out of state and asked several questions. Later in the day when I had time to review the link she sent me I called back to discover if the car was automatic or manual. The description made it appear manual but the pictures showed automatic. I explained I needed automatic for my daughter. She stated she would have one of her guys go out on the lot and look....I got a call from Thomas minutes later assuring me that it was an automatic. I even asked if it was a real car because I had come across other dealers that claim to have a car, then it's sold and they try to offer another vehicle. He assured that was not how they do business. I stated again that I am out of state and would send my niece to test drive the next day. He told me not to worry, if she drives it and gives it a thumbs up he would do the paperwork, take the deposit and hold the car for a week until I could get there. I was pleased....until. The following day I texted him and my nieces texted him that she would be there in 30 minutes (during her lunch hour). She arrived and nobody knew anything. Thomas was on a test drive. She waited only to be told it was in for service. I text Thomas asking if there was a problem and he said no that it was in for service but if she wanted to test drive a newer car with fewer miles for $2000 more, she could. Red Flags went up. I said no, that was out of the budget and to let us know when the car was ready...neither her or I heard anything. I tried calling twice and he no longer answered the phone. So I called the manager. Eric spoke to me and informed me they sold the car 2 days earlier but this wasn't a bait and switch this was just his employee being lazy because he never went out onto the lot to be sure they had the vehicle....and I then clarified why it was and why it is illegal and will be reported to the state attorney generals office (and I have all the correspondence to prove it). 1. the car was already sold when I sent the inquiry asking if it was available. Brook stated it was 2. I was led to believe that Thomas actually looked at the vehicle to confirm it was an automatic 3. My niece took time to come down there only to find no vehicle and they first tried to sell her on the newer more expensive model (keep in mind she was just checking it out for me, not the buyer). 4. They try to sell me on the newer more expensive model. I stated no and to please let us know when it was available. 5. No one responds (because their bait and switch failed) and when I finally get a manager I am told the vehicle was sold 2 days earlier. It should be noted that dealers state it takes a while for vehicles to come offline, that is not true. I am communication professor and know exactly how new media operates...it is lazy responses and a lack of integrity that keeps a vehicle post (because surprisingly that vehicle was still posted earlier today and now magically is gone). Also noted that none of the sales people or managers are even listed on the employee selection below. Go somewhere with integrity. More
