Follow up to my Pre-lease review I'm writing this as a follow up review to my original pre-lease review found below. I went to many other dealerships before this one (not Hyundai, bu I'm writing this as a follow up review to my original pre-lease review found below. I went to many other dealerships before this one (not Hyundai, but other brands) looking for a great deal on a new car lease. I only happened to be in New York because all the NJ dealerships were closed on Sunday. I had driven many cars, tried many different styles and negotiated up and down for about a month, and prices just weren't where I needed them to be. As a current student in grad school who's about to student teach and won't be making much money for some time, I knew I needed a low monthly payment and a reliable car. I found both at Rockland Hyundai. From the moment we walked into the dealership, we were encapsulated in an environment of "yes we can." I told them what I was looking for, what I was comfortable paying, and why. They didn't give us the usual "oh well You know, you have to read the fine print on the ads" tag line like almost every other dealership we had gone to did. (To be fair this was the only Hyundai dealership we went to, as my family kept insisting that we check Hyundai out as a brand.) Jeff greeted us, had a "can do" attitude and made sure I loved the Hyundai I was looking at before talking any numbers or sales. He referred us to his manager Tristan, who worked with us every step of the way to allow me to get out of my old lease and into a new Hyundai. They both understood my situation, and always had me feeling that my lease was being catered to my needs. When in the finance office, we were helped by Joan Rivas who was also extremely helpful and professional. I'm now the proud leasee of a brand new Hyundai Sonata, my payments are right where I needed them to be, and it seems this dealership just made a life-customer. COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!! More
