You'll get a good deal, but read your contract CAREFULLY! I got a good deal on my little car. The young man who sold it to me, Matt, was terrific -- he put in a lot of time and effort to make sure everything I got a good deal on my little car. But I wasn't happy with the guy who helped me with financing. He was determined.to sell me a service contract, which I didn't want. They're a waste of money unless you're buying a car that's likely to have lots of problems. But even though he knew I didn't want it, he sneaked it into the final contract, which I signed without reading carefully enough. This service contract was good only two years and had lots of exclusions, and it cost $3,000 and added $40 to the monthly payment! I quickly realized I had been scammed and I went back to the dealership to ask them to cancel that service contract. At first, they seemed reluctant to do so, but I went back over and over kept complaining, and eventually they relented and cancelled the thing. By this time I had begun making car payments. So my advice is: don't be careless like I was -- read your contract carefully, to make sure nothing's in it that you don't want, before you sign it. By the way, I've been very happy with the car they sold me. More
