It was a pleasant experience to have deal with Ramsey at this particular dealership. I've had past dealings with sales reps whose aim is to sell a car at any cost...by sweet-talking, and at times deception this particular dealership. My wife and I had a horrible experience at RMAB, sales was extremely high pressure and wouldn't directly answer questions. We wound up walking away without purchasing the car my wife was interested in. was extremely high pressure and wouldn't directly answer questions. We wound up walking away without purchasing the car my wife was interested in. When asked what the price of the vehicle was, the response was "You know the price!" Then they tried to add on an Exo Package for $999, told them we weren't interested because we live 150 miles away from RMAB. Comprehensive insurance will cover the costs for the majority of this package, so why would I double insure the car for five year? We felt it didn't add any value to the car for us and asked for the price to be removed very early in the negotiations. However, after telling them we didn't want it, the Exo Package was still included in total price of the car when I made them break it down instead of just giving me a "total price and payment range". They absolutely don't want you to know the total price of the car is, they just want you to be happy with the payment. They wouldn't even tell me what percentage rate we qualified for after telling us they could beat what we had through our outside financing. All they would give me was a payment range and term. When they felt they might lose the deal, paraded out a "sales manager" to tell us how they were doing a $1500+ repair to the car at no cost to us. The car was listed towards the low end of KBB fair market value, but we have been looking at cars with very similar options and miles within a 500 mile range for the same or less money. At least those dealers are not trying to and add in anything on or upsell us on things they know we won't be back to utilize it because of the mileage we were from the dealership. We felt the salesman wasn't even listening to us, just trying to push another sale out the door. In the end we got up and walked away as it wasn't any kind of a deal, also the salesman "Chuck" left us feeling like we needed a shower! More
