Hi Mike, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed account of your experience. I also want to acknowledge your perspective as a fellow business. I understand how carefully you considered providing this feedback, and I take it seriously. I would like to first address the labor concern involving your third-party warranty company, as I understand this was the most significant point of frustration. During the repair, our technician was required to extract a seized bolt, which is a time-intensive procedure that falls outside standard labor operations. The labor time charged reflects the actual technician punch time recorded on the work order. We did clearly explain both to you and to the warranty company that this additional time was required due to the extraction process, and we submitted the technician’s documented punch time accordingly. Unfortunately, third-party warranty providers ultimately determine what they will and will not cover. These companies operate by selling service contracts and, at times, limiting claim payouts based on their internal guidelines. While we provided the requested documentation and explanation, the warranty company chose not to cover the full labor time. Prior to proceeding with the work, we ensured you were aware of this possibility and received your authorization to move forward. That said, I understand how frustrating this situation was, especially when the expectation was that further clarification might change the outcome. I regret that the process left you feeling unsupported, and I appreciate you advocating for a resolution. You are also correct regarding communication. Having your vehicle in our shop for nearly a month, particularly for a single concern, should have included more proactive updates, especially when timelines changed. We did not meet that expectation. To address this, we have recently added staff specifically to improve communication and follow-up, as delivering a better customer experience is our top priority. Regarding the battery replacement, we routinely review our pricing alongside both independent repair facilities and other dealerships to ensure our pricing remains fair and competitive. Battery costs have increased industry-wide over the past several years, and while the price can feel high, the battery installed does include a 3-year parts and labor warranty should it fail during that period. I do understand your concern and appreciate you raising it. I also want to personally apologize for the interaction you described over the phone. Feeling dismissed or cut off is unacceptable and not reflective of how we expect our team to treat our customers. You are right in noting that our service department has been busy. While that provides context, it does not excuse the experience you had. In response, we are adding both additional service staff and a front-door greeter to ensure customers receive the time, attention, and courtesy they deserve. Lastly, regarding the 4WD Service warning light, I would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to assist you. If you are open to it, I would be happy to personally coordinate an inspection of your vehicle so we can determine the cause and discuss next steps with you directly. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you personally and work toward restoring your confidence in our service department.
