Friendly to student, skillful salesman I'm an international student working with OPT. Lots of vehicle dealers won't take the risk to lease me a car. But there is no problem here. Mr. Art Norvell is a great salesman with plenty of sales skills. I went to Route 22 Honda just wanted to check if I'm eligible to lease a car there but instead of that, I took a car home. Overall the experience was good, a few things might be improved. The time was much longer than I expected. I arrived at 3:00 p.m. but left later than 9:00 p.m. even without all document signed. That's true I wasted 1.5-2 hrs to decide whether I should take a car home on the same day. But I had a clear target for a civic hatchback, and I had finished the test drive at another dealer some time ago. It should not take too much time on my objective of cars. However, the service started by collecting my driving habits followed by the car introduction. Plus the error of the credit card processing system. I felt exhausted when I got out of the dealer. I don't know if this is also one of the sales skills, making the customer tired and feels like he also wasted the salesman's time, so he will make a quick decision at last. But this is really not a good experience. The second is about the price. Different ppl have their own purchasing habits. I'm the one who likes the seller to give me a price number. Then I can decide whether I will accept or bargain with the seller. However, I was kept asking to give a number to them which I can accept. If I'm going to give a number, I need to do a lot of research online before I go there. I just went there to ask if I can get approved for leasing and I almost did no search on the leasing price of a Honda civic before. I understand that's also one of the sales skills because I faced the same question at Lexus dealer. However, I don't like it much. Maybe some changes can be made from customer to customer, but not the same skill for everyone. More

Art Norvell called me out of left field one night and asked me to come in despite a not so great experience I had three years prior with another salesperson. He assured me that due to my bankruptcy th asked me to come in despite a not so great experience I had three years prior with another salesperson. He assured me that due to my bankruptcy there were options on getting me into my new vehicle. Art was personable and friendly. The joke of it all is that I ended up buying a pre-owned Chevy Equinox at a Honda Dealership...go figure. There was a small issue with the vehicle and Art helped find and fix the problem which resulted in me getting to free tires to replace the faulty ones. He's a great guy and fair. Why his name isn't on the list of rate-able sales employees is beyond me. More

I leased 2019 pilot few months back and at time of selling this clown promised 2 free oil change with 2 full tank of gas because he made more money on my trade in, it was just a courtesy, I took his word without recording his promise and now when time for oil change arrived as expected he lost his memory. He don't even know how many GARY works in sales but reception verified he is the only one. He is from islands and I know his accent very well. AVOID HIM IF YOU GO TO BUY OR LEASE A VEHICLE FROM ROUTE 22 HONDA OR IF NO CHOICE RECORD HIM IF HE PROMISE YOU ANYTHING. People like these will only remember you the day deal is onn.... after that to xxxx with the customer, I assume he is suffering from short term memory loss. More

I have 3 Honda dealers closer to me, but I will only buy a car here. It is their desire to put the customer in the best car for them, regardless of what is best for them. Steve Sheehan is amazing at working with you to get you into the right car at the right payment. Joel Maldonado and Eddie Garcia are tremendous managers who lead by example and put the customer first, better than I have ever seen in a car dealership. Ben Shihadeah in Finance made the process complete with his customer first attitude. He again made the process quick and customer friendly. You can buy a car from another Honda dealer, I am just not sure why you would. More
