Targeted as unsuspecting female I took my car into this dealership as I’ve done many times before, my prior experience before this one was bad but none the less I still took my car i I took my car into this dealership as I’ve done many times before, my prior experience before this one was bad but none the less I still took my car into this dealership as it’s convinently located near my place of work. I took my car in as I heard a loud pop from my tired followed by a flatting noise, as I came out of my car my tire was not flat (even though it sound as if it was initially). I proceeded to take my car to the dealership as I continued to hear the noise as I drove. I left my car at the dealership and 3 hours later they had call and said that they could locate the issue that causing the problem. I was then encourage to get a diagnostic done on my car for further detail to find what the issue was (but why would I need a diagnostic preform on my car when my check engine light was not even on) no worries because in the past my I’ve never paid for a diagnostic. HOWEVER, this time I was told that I’d need to pay $149 but not worry because if any issue was found it would go towards my service IF I had choose to have whatever they found done as the dealership. AGAIN, I’m thinking but my check engine light was never on and why would I even need it....and how incompetent could a whole fleet of service workers be that 3 hours of having my car they couldn’t find what the noise was coming from my tire? I then proceed to entertain the idea of me getting a diagnostic perform and what could possibility of them finding anything....I was then told worse case senario it could be something (can’t rememeber what) BUT the price tag including labor would round off to about $770 (somewhere along that price range) but not to because the money I would pay for the diagnostic would be deducted. After careful thought I had decline because I wanted a second opinion. Fast forward next day I took my car to another mechanic who INFORM ME that a nail had gotten into my tire (the initial pop noise) and that my rim was bend and that the combine two caused the noise I was hearing. I’m in utter disbelief that I’ve been cmount to this dealership sense I’ve had my car and that I could have been taken full advantage of if I’d not opt for a second opinion. More
