Hi David, I wanted to respond to your issues as you presented them, knowing this was a safety issue with children involved. After speaking to Buster about how your experience transpired I have an idea of what happened. As you did not have an appointment when you walked in and the recall you spoke of was not released by Chrysler yet; Buster offered you an appointment on a date where a loaner would be available; saving you the money for rental cars. You declined. Buster tried to squeeze your Jeep in between appointments, but we were fully booked as were our loaners. We were only partially complete on some of the repairs when you unexpectedly showed up to claim your vehicle, which you then had repaired at our sister store, Rt. 18. Timing is everything with these recalls as the resolution was a software update that was not available to us when WE had the Jeep I am glad you were able to have it resolved at Rt. 18. Hi Larry, Let me take these responses in reverse order. In regards to removing your salesperson's name from my post, my answer is the same answer Mr. Shorrock gave me, "No. No, I can't do that." We didn't speak? Ask him to check his clipboard, which contains various notes taped to it, including a hand-written memo with the phone number to declare a Jeep a lemon. Go ahead, it's right there, on the back. So no, no, I can't do that. With respect to Buster's version of the story...well, let's parse it out, shall we? Yes, we shall. My car died on me on route 78. I immediately took it to be repaired. Would you drive your kids around in a car that loses "motive power"? I was not offered a date with a loaner. That's just nonsense. Why would I turn down a loaner? I half-expected Buster to be better than this. After I discovered the bait-and-switch, I immediately picked up my lemon-Jeep (Buster told me they'd get to it the next morning, then told my wife they wouldn't get to it until a week later). When I picked it up, Buster told me it was fixed and that, "we didn't find anything wrong with it." But the fine folks down on Rt.18 both discovered AND fixed the differentiator, corrected the gas tank issue AND acknowledged an issue with the air system. Now, why would I risk driving that vehicle if I didn't have to? I'll tell you why—because there was no loaner in sight and my car was shuffled to the back of the schedule as punishment for 1. not getting a new lease and 2. for requesting the number to report it as a lemon. Ya know, that number I got from the back of Paul's clipboard. Salerno Duane Chrysler Jeep has been nothing but one disappointment after another. #NeverJeep #NeverDuaneSalerno
